Lol I am experienced at building Kanthal only coils. I have never messed with clapton, Titanium, Stainless, or nickel wires. I had a lavatube with the Kayfun 3.1 Since I started vaping and I couldn't build a coil under 1.2 ohm with the Lavatube.
There are so many wire/coil types to choose from it's like a research project to find one that works good. :matrix:
Did anyone notice the site going down for a few minutes in the past 5-10 minutes? I couldn't connect at all.
Do any of you use titanium in this tank? Does it work well? I only got that titanium from DFW because I buy my juice from them as well, so It was easier to just buy it with my last juice order.
I was also going to buy some SS wire, but DFW didn't have any so I just settled with the titanium. I had to look up videos on how to build with titanium because I wasn't sure if you needed to torch it or not. But you don't. I have read a lot of good stuff here about Clapton wire in the Merlin so...
Yea, Once I tried the notch coil in there that was perfect. My hand wrapped coils can't really compete with the notch. I will definitely be buying more notch coils. I just got my titanium wire yesterday so I will give that a try soon.
I am just using regular watt mode. I haven't even messed with smart mode yet. I don't really change coils all the time, I only have one tank so remembering different settings isn't really that needed for me.
Then my old Pico had to be defective because i used same tank and coil and battery and it allowed me to go to 75w and fire. Lol glad to be rid of that one.

So I was just messing around with the new Pico I got a couple days ago, and I was going to go for a high watt short dry burn to try and clean my coil. For some reason it will only let me set the wattage at 39.3W. Would a lower output battery cause it to restrict the wattage? I don't remember it...
At least someone in the government and politics is trying to fight the FDA on their deeming rules.

30 years!! I only bought enough nic to last 3 at 18mg. But I forsee myself quitting ecigs within 3 years anyway. I did it once so I know I can do it again.

Im with you. I have always preferred a tighter draw. I only have 30% lung capacity in my left lung so if its an unrestricted air flow, it last me less than a second. I have the air flow almost all the way shut.

I just ran out of my 60/40 (pg/vg) DFW vapor juice that I normally use. I had half a bottle of 100%vg mod fuel juice that a friend gave me but it was 0mg nic. So I grabbed some of the nic from the freezer and did the calculations and put about 2ml of 100mg/ml of nicotine in and gave it a good...
Are the wires still attached to the charging port? If not then you might have to find a soldering iron. Not sure how they attach those. If you are very lucky there might be slide connectors on it.
Just got my replacement Pico today. Just finished updating firmware and the Logo. I'll have to get used to the grey with a black tank on there, I kinda like the black one better, but not when it has a tendency of going crazy on me.
Even if the battery is dead i would think the power goes to the battery and then the coil. And the mod regulates power to give the battery some amount of charge. My guess anyway.

You can test that out. Okay here is what you do. Get a usb charging cable. Strip the wires. Find positive and negative, hook them to each lead in a coil. Plug it in and................ Let me know how it goes.

Probably because they are taking advantage of everyone buying right now. Normally they have at least 25%+ profit margin on products (That was just a guess probably a low guess). But they can cut into that margin by marking down the price in hopes of getting more units sold and more money...
Lol, that's probably a better idea anyway. I never figured when I bought it that the tinted glass was that easy to peel off. I still think the clear glass looks great on the black.
Just got my new glass for it today. I'll have to wait till I rebuild a coil and put it in.
Yea, I have a power inverter in my truck, and a cell phone charger that also fits the Pico, but the output of the cell charger is like nothing so I can't take hardly any worthwhile type of draw while I have the car charger plugged into the Pico.
