    Nicotine Concentrate Turning Brown

From everything I know, which isn't a lot, the nicotine will oxidize over time and turn yellowish then brown. Freezing the nic base will slow this down considerably. The reason the store bought juice is darker may be that the juice is older and may have been sitting on the shelf for a while, or...

ECF Newsletter - FDA Considering Ban on Online Ecig Sales

The only thing they could ban that would affect me is nic base. I have enough mech mods and RDAs to last a lifetime, and good luck banning the on-line sale of VG, PG, flavoring, wire, wick, and batteries.

    Thinner Wire

I still use 28ga Kanthal wire in my smaller RDAs like the O-Little 16, and in my Exocet for my Billet Box. I get a good amount of vapor and great flavor - and my single battery lasts a loooong time.

    Youtube "Reviewers"

I didn't read any further than this post, so... I only watch you tube videos to actually get a look at new hardware and then decide if I want to pursue the item. Better to get real-world usage experience here at ECF once the members have had a chance to handle and use the item.

    Making my own and cost

Yep. Even the smaller scales will work nicely IF you are making smaller quantities. I started using a reloading scale that works fine when measuring grains of gunpowder or 30ml bottles of juice, but ended up getting a larger scale when I decided to mix quantities of 120mls or greater. Either...

    To Nic Salt or Not?

The difference is throat hit. The salts will be smoother on your throat at higher nic levels. So... If you plan on making your juice at 30, 40, 50mg (for pod use), get salts. If you want to make your juice with 3, 6, 12mg of nic you can get by with regular nicotine. If you want low nic juice...

    Squonking is Dead?

And when I still bought juice: They have 500 different juices in stock, but not the ONE that I want. It's been out for six months and considered "old".

    Squonking is Dead?

Just pointing out that they don't cater to experienced vapers, nothing more. I found out very quickly, early in my vaping journey, that almost all of the stuff I wanted was only available on-line. Got vaping wire? Nope. How about a Provari? Nope. Any Hexohms? Nah. How bout a squonk mod? Dead...

    Squonking is Dead?

Seems like most shops carry regulated mods, 18650 batteries, pods, tanks, coils, and juice. I think the majority of folks going into a B&M are newbs and it's easy to sell them a Smok mod and tank, so that is the primary and most profitable target for the business. For me, pre-made juice...

    Mechanical Mod Market

Old collectible tube mechs have some value, but you need to be realistic. Just because someone paid $600 for a Caravela 4 years ago doesn't mean it will bring $500 today. The influx of affordable authentic mods priced at or around 100 bucks has definitely impacted the market for used high-end...

Best single battery squonk mod <$100?

Because they are indestructible, and work very well as an alternative to smoking - which is the main reason I vape. I use two Reo Grands every day with Origen Little 16 clones and a P67 with a Hadaly, and they NEVER fail me. I get great flavor and enough vapor to satisfy my nic cravings without...

Best single battery squonk mod <$100?

If I could only have ONE single-battery squonker, I'd look for a nice used Reo Grand.

    Help with wicking issue

Rayon will last longer than cotton, at least mine does...but...my coils still get gunked up at the same rate as with cotton, so I have to remove the rayon wick to dry burn at the same frequency as when I use cotton. Still, the performance and flavor of rayon is fantastic.

    New to RDA

I don't own a single dedicated vaping ohm meter...I have three.:p You know what they say: "one is none". Love me some backup.

Pulse 22 cap ridiculously difficult to remove

Thanks for the suggestions. I really like the RDA, but if I can't get the top off without a struggle it's useless. I'll try the o-rings, but is that doesn't help, I may put the caps on a drill motor and try sanding and polishing the inside with a fine grit paper to slightly increase the ID of...

Pulse 22 cap ridiculously difficult to remove

Love my three Pulse 22 RDAs for squonking. Easy to build, decent flavor and vapor, and as leak-proof as can be expected for a squonking RDA. My problem is the cap. On all three, it is nearly impossible to remove the cap. I have to put on latex gloves for grip, and attach the RDA to a threaded...

Best technique for testing DIY samples

I test the way I intend to vape, so it's usually a single-coil RDA. If I am testing more than one flavor, I use cotton and change it for each test to make sure I am getting closer to the true flavor of each juice.
