    The Burrito Wick

I can see why it was confusing. I tried to make it a really concise explanation, lol. Basically, start with two SS mesh wicks....eh on second thought, I'm going to cut a quick video. BRB. :)

    The Burrito Wick

dual SS wicks, wrapped with a piece of SS above the atty deck. I wrap the coil before inserting the wick assembly as one piece. It came about when I had had enough of the U wick builds. Hope that makes sense, I'll be doing a video soon :)

    The Burrito Wick

I recently bought and reviewed the iHybrid Mods Synthesis atty, and was not very stoked on how it worked with a standard or u-wick setup- at least when compared to a standard iHy. So, after hearing from some friends via facebook and witnessing their success, I went ahead and made my own wick...

    Should we disregard every review??

LOL I want "shills"... The most that the majority of us reviewers can hope for is some free juice and devices, and maybe the chance to turn our exposure into some sort of business, i.e. Rip Trippers w/ the AC9 or Grimm/CJ with their juice companies. Scott is probably the only person I know...

    Should we disregard every review??

The best piece of advice I can give... Try Everything. Go to vape meets, make some vaping friends AFK, and find out what suits you. Then, depending on your level of commitment to your hobby, your personal vape preferences, and your budget, go about trying things for yourself. As a reviewer...

The FDA, The E-cigarette and Why Vaping Won't Die

I'm at a loss here, do you mean my perspective or the FDA? Or someone elses entirely? Anyway, some clarification is in order ;)

Ninja Vapes Presents-The iHybrid Standard and FC-2000 Ceramic Wicks

I've already reviewed the iHybrid, but it deserves its own video review. In my eyes, it is the greatest hybrid APV on the market. If you don't have one, don't worry! it will be available soon, and in many different variations- SS, Brass, Ti, LE aluminum...and who knows what else the future...

About DiD postal over a hot top coil!

Interested in writing a guest blog post? :D That was, quite possibly, the most entertaining read of the morning. Thank you for that, sir.

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

Oh yeah, the mesh does definitely glow red during dry-burns, especially if it's either a thinner wick, or lots of wraps/surface area coverage/low resistance wire.

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

You know, I almost forgot to mention...I ended up breaking two out of three of my 1/8" ceramic wicks, which ended up being very expensive... If anyone knows where to get the 3/32 size wicks, I'm going to need them soon. I can't seem to figure out what atomizer the 1/8" wicks are supposed to...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

Sweet, if you got yours today, maybe it's a sign that mine also arrived! Have you used a lot of silica devices? In my experience, they do get covered in silica if they're not wet with eliquid while handling them. Sometimes that's not the case, but silica is fragile stuff, especially if its...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

As far as ultrasonic devices go, I know a few people (one of them being a seasoned engineer) trying to design a pv that works on the principle, but the power consumption and size of the ultrasonic or piezoelectric elements are not at an advanced enough phase in design to be practical- yet...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

All very good points, and again, many of these concerns may or may not be addressed by creating a basic mechanical/chemical filtration system. I envision something modular, with different substrates for different desired purification/filtration effects, that sits inline on a PV and doesn't...

Ninja Vapes Presents: A Comprehensive NicQuid Eliquid Review

A few weeks ago, I received the full line of Niquid E-liquid for review. Of course, with nearly 30 flavors, I was unable to record a video that includes each and every flavor...so here's a comprehensive list that includes almost the entire Nicquid line of juices! I will be doing a video of a...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

Interesting post, that's a pretty good assessment of what a "perfect wick" would require, and where things are at as far as current wicking materials. Two things: First of all, ceramics have been researched. The studies were not made public, but the vapor from vaporizers utilizing ceramic...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

Ah, I'm back with some good news. It's funny how people, including some of the forum admins and many others here on ECF, love to chastise and frown upon that "other vaping industry" that shares so many things in common with us nicotine vapers...when in this case, I just found a ton- A TON- of...

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

I've already dumped my mesh. When I tried using it unoxidized, it was obvious that it still needed to be torched to remove contaminants left over from the production process...and I never actually tried boiling it. At this point, going back to SS is my last-resort option, even in the manner...

    Stainless Steel mesh, Oxide discussion.

Until we have more info on mesh- and , somewhat, on ceramics, too- I feel safest returning to Silica. Why is that? Because we know what the risks are for silica builds, and there IS a really simple (yet a bit silly) solution to preventing those risks: A small piece of air or water pre-filter...

My generation was more resourceful...we would just use rolled and folded aluminium foil, hahah.

Let's start Looking for Alternatives to SS Mesh

Interestingly (ironically?) enough, on a lighter note, today is Darwin Day...here's a quote from the website darwinday.org: "Science is our most reliable knowledge system. It has been, and continues to be, acquired solely through the application of human curiosity and ingenuity and, most...
