My question is.. All tutorials I've seen have been for 3x26 gauge as the cores. I want to do one with only 2 cores and at 28 gauge. Would I still do the initial de-cored clapton on a piece of 26 gauge? or should I do it on a piece of 28 gauge? Thanks.
Hopefully this is the right place for this..
Basically I have decided that I want to start making my own alien coils. I will attempting 2x28 gauge for the cores and wrapping with 34 gauge to hopefully get the hang of it then as I get better make my way down to 38 gauge.
So for the wire that I...
I don't use this tank much anymore, but what I do use.. is that delrin drip tip!
It was a little wobbly so I changed out the o-rings Drilled it out and shaped it a little. I know I'm a crack head, just figured I'd share.. lol
I'm torn with this tank.. I want one, but I hate press fit stuff. If they made a Serpent 2 with replaceable glass and ditched the JFC.. I'd bust a nipple.
wondering if maybe your top cap isn't sealing anymore? Fill it up with water and rest it upside down on the drip tip. If your fill port is making a seal correctly, the water should stay in there.
Just an idea, hope you figure it out!

I see in your previous post that you like twisted 28 gauge. Try a 26 gauge core wiiith.. 36 gauge wrap wire, 7 wraps. Should give you similar ohmage. That should be a good testing point to see if you like claptons.
Still my favorite tank.
-Drilled out the airhole a little.
-Milled out the juice channels, comparable to the Monster V3.
-Thinner padded o-ring for better wicking.
