I am not against a pre-order, but would like to see the rendering of the lipo module and how they are dealing with the balance charger port.

    DNA 200 Watt

Given that I intend to box it up and never look back, set it to 4.1 v charge and get 2000 cycles, I will be soldering it to the chip and save the room in the enclosure.

I see the beauty shots...but want to see what is in there for the money...time will tell.

    Cloudmaker Whiteout

I am surprised that folks are buying the DNA200 version without any specs as to the battery and without any images of the unit.

    DNA 200 Watt

If you solder the battery to the board, you should go ahead and solder the balance taps as a battery replacement is already a solder job, so you might as well save the room.

    TC why?

I generally agree, but have seen instances where a person was using a TC mod in a not very TC friendly way...it vaping at high temps...say 550F.

    DNA 200 Watt

If you heat the wire and pad up to remove it, most of the solder will come with it. You don't need to work to get it off the wire, just cut the gooped part off and make a fresh end if you have room. The solder left on the board will probably be ok to attach the wire too. Add flux, put a...

    Joyetech Evic VT 60 Watt

I got one on a lark. Nice backup TC mod for the family. Seems to be in the ballpark TC wise with a good atomizer and build. It has a few warts and some fuz on it so to speak, but costs less than a DNA200 chip wholesale. So for an inexpensive asian mass produced TC rig with some nice bells...

So people are ordering the DNA200 w/o seeing it? Have they mentioned what battery is in it?

Any images of the DNA200 model? Curious how they addressed the battery and the balance charger.

    Agree...I left out "battery". Edited.

    DNA 200 Watt

Could you advise what part is a hassle? I am not being sarcastic. Having built a number of mods, I find the use of a pre-made lipo pack and a board with useful buttons and an integrated charger a great deal more simple. Is it the talk of shielding and such with foam and special wrappers...

    DNA 200 Watt

Generally they are used for charging at high C rates or after a really bad RC crash where the pack is suspect.

    DNA 200 Watt

Assuming the slop is "perfect" it won't need anything. ha ha ha. But if it does, I typically use window flashing tape. It is thick, rubberized and sticks like bad feedback on eBay. I may add a clamp of sorts, but right now I am more interested in roughing out the geometry.

Personally I am not going to print a case until I get the chip and fit it to the sled/mount portion. I have a few prints of the mount area already, so once I have a chip that confirms the layout I will go for a print. This will be my first try:

    TC why?

I don't think there is anything wrong with a thread of normative value wherein people try and convince each other of a given viewpoint. I don't typically dive in as most viewpoints are right for the holder of them at the time. My only suggestion was that the title of the thread would better...

    TC why?

Then your thread is titled incorrectly. It seems you understand the goals of TC and the limits of it and chose not to use it because you are in fact already well informed and are making an intelligent choice on what and how to vape.

    TC why?

Why TC? To prevent the release of carcinogens that occurs when you over heat eliquid. It is designed to be a safer vape.
