Here's my suggestions:
1) go with a 510 set up - mostly because your husband has that and you can share parts. There are also lots of thing available.
2) get a starter kit - that way you have all the stuff you need.
3) start with "mini" batteries - i.e. the ones that look like analogs...
Alac is right about nJoy nPro's - they are definately rn4081. You may have an older model though. the nPro's say that (i.e. "nPro") on the batt.
They still sell the nPro's at my local 7/11, and I hate to say it but I still like them. I agree about the pre-filled carto's from nJoy though...
When I started I alternated between Lucky Strikes and Pall Mall's (stealing from my parents). When I started buying my own ($0.40/pack at 7/11) it was Camel Filters and Jerry Ford was President. I don't think I got anywhere close to a 17 day break. But since the day I got my first e-cig (a...
I don't know if I qualify as a veteran, but I've been analog free for a little over 6 months! Your start up kit sounds good to me, but I'll bet you can beat the price you listed (at least by a little). There are lots of good suppliers, but I can recomend eSmokeClub.com for price, customer...
Hey just as a by the way - I believe you told me not to use xxx charger on a yyy batt. That was great advice - no slap down. Thanks! I was referring to someone who told me I could find an answer in one of the stickies - which is true I'm sure, and I do read them. But another poster gave me...
I'm not taking it the wrong way - you're right, I'll probably pick up a single (not the 5-pack I had in the cart). But to be honest, although I like this mod, I still like my simple "super mini" batts. That's not to say I don't want to experiment, etc. But probably good to go slow.
Someone...
Thanks AttyPops. Since I have the same mod as the OP, I may hold off on trying the DC cartos until I get better educated on some of the electrical issues. I don't quite follow what you are saying, but I'm sure there are resources on this forum to fill in the gaps. In any case, I'm going to X...
I wish I could add something, but I am learning a lot from this thread. I just got one of those vv mods (directly from MadVapes). I like it, but have not mastered it yet. And I was about to order some dual coil cartos, so I will be interested to hear more posts.
From my experience (pretty...
GIMike - that's a heck of a batt. 8000 mAh - if that doesn't get you through the day, you've got a problem.
And thanks my4jewels. That was what I was asking. Since I know 14650's won't work I can move on.
Thanks folks - good info.! Yes there is a lot of knowledge here, and I have read many of the announcements, etc. But must have missed the batt specs. Anyway, someone who has both of the kinds of batt's I mentioned just pm'ed me and told me they are different lengths.
Good point, Prometheus. I will run it by MadVapes. But I'm really just wondering whether 14650's are the same size as 14500's. Despite some searching, I haven't found a definative place for battery specs.
Hi All:
I got one of those nice MadVapes vv mods a few weeks ago. It's my first mod, and I'm quite pleased. But I'd like to get a second pair of batt's and was thinking about longer battery life.
The mod takes 14500 batt's (i.e. AA sized). Since I was thinking about greater batt life, I...
I've heard (and felt) that too, and also like it. My guess (I'm no expert) is that the cartos that pop are a little lower resistance than the ones that don't - and therefore are operating at a little higher temp. Could be something about the juice though.
In my experience, the cartos that...
