    Now that's not a bad idea! My prob. is that My DIY NETs just leave a residue (after a burn-off...) that looks like rust & ruins the capillary action of the mesh. This is what's made Me have to use only 'arti-baccy' (Hangsen) in My Next-Gens...

    Yeah, I only went to rope 'cos I read that it wicked better than mesh....it does n't per se, but with My NET juices, it just lasts longer than mesh.

    I NEED more of these!! I've got an IN'AX clone, a Hybrid Dripper that c/w (not enough!!) hollow white ceramic wicks that just drop over the pos. pin. Really nice smooth flavour. Just wish FT would stock 'em as silly expensive here!

    As per mesh:- juice it, burn it off, heat 'till red-hot, repeat. I use the gas hob (propane hob in the van's even quicker!) or a hobby blow-torch.

    I'm new enough to Gennies & Rope & Mesh to remember My 1st goes...(on an FT DID/DUD clone..) All good advice above so I'll just add:- 1. Oxidise your mesh thoroughly! 2. Wrapping a coil around a floppy, irregular diameter mesh wick drove Me MENTAL! I found it much easier to roll a wick to fit...

    ....Down to 3 wicks now! :( Broke the 1st one & Y'day; decided to use a different DT instead of the stubby one that c/w the In'Ax....got a lung-full of burning plastic!...Pulled the DT off...coil came with it, plus 1/2 of the wick!!!! Doh!!
