Wow, you two are rayonatti grandpas, I feel like an infant, only a couple of years for me.
I believe that Rayon is the best thing going. I try all the new boutique cottons and nothing compares.
My Oumier VLS arrived yesterday. 4 build options: Single horz or vert coil and dual horz or vert coils. Bottom plate is easily removable to make wicking verts a snap. Flavor is outstanding to say the least. Wow, just wow.
First I've heard of that. I've had NiFe48 (52 alloy) coils in an Aromamizer for close to 6 months and dryburned it umpteen times. I just let off the power as soon as the wraps turn red. Dryburning any hotter than that is not needed for any wire.
Hey, that's great. Gotta be almost a half dozen peeps on this thread with VLS's on order. It'll be fun comparing builds. Welcome to the thread @brianc11111 .
The flavor, The Flaaaavoooor!!! If your on the fence, get off.
On the trusty DNA200
Dual verts with the provided 3.5mm NiCr80 flat wire core claptons.
Hot spot at the top of this coil. I never got along with NiCr80 claptons.
Machining is fine, grub screws work great with provided 3-way...
I'm thinking 2.5mm-2.75mm coils for dual verts using the thru-post afc (with coils set more inboard). I'll also try 3mm vert coils set more outboard with top cap rotated 90° (not using thru-post afc)
I'll be trying dual horz and single coil configs too but dual verts is where I'll start.
I run a 510 dt on my wasp as well. In the beginning I used it to reduce spitback and excessive heat but once I found the best build and power level the dt was no longer necessary. I still use a 510 dt but now it's for a different reason, flavor. Not that the Wasp needs help with flavor but the...
Green eyed brunette, my type for sure. If she's got freckles under all that make up I think I'd go crazy!!! Well, 30 years ago anyway.:wub::wub::wub::wub: I am truly smitten.:p
and about as deep as a teaspoon
I've heard great things about the Lucid too but never pulled the trigger on that one. I get what you're saying, I have several attys that were touted as flavor bombs by others but I could never make it happen, even with their build specs. I also have several killer flavor attys that others...
Thanks for the vid @Sed8op8. Looks like we're in for a flavor treat! I'll take flavor over draw any day but like Mike said, if we want more airflow with the vert build we can easily drill out the top cap air holes.
Try a 26/36 SS316L, 3mm, 5 wrap, it's a stellar vape on a mech squonker. Nice quick ramp time and then very controllable heat for the rest of the pull.
Edited from 5/4 wrap to 5 wrap.
