You don't solder anything when rewrapping. You take away the old wrap with tweezers (you can put the wrap on top of the other too, yes!) and the paper insulator goes just on top, prior to putting a hair dryer to the wrap before it shrinks. Not many, as I can recall the Zenith (two models, there's a three battery if it tickles your fancy), the Hex Ohm V3 and the Noisy Cricket V2. I vouch for the Zenith and the Cricket. Great in the palm.- Susaz

You could get a semi regulated mech. I owned somewhere down the road a Hex Ohm V3, but now it's underpowered at only 155W. I don't find any difference and it's not worth the price. Do you really need a mech? I find with regulated devices the need for mechs is gone. Now you can go higher and in a much safer way with any regulated mod and you can build much lower than you would on a mech. I sold my Dreamer to a nice profit and although it's gorgeous to look at, I keep...- Susaz
