Boy posting on the classy's is a chore.
Finished my shelter duties and came home to a hurt cat. She appeared to not be able to walk on her leg. Rushed her to emergency vet and of course when we got there she is walking on it fine. Opted out of xrays because vet thinks minor sprain. $200 later and the cat is home resting.

I have a couple Wismech Armor pro mods that I think are like "baby protected" mods. With Panzer RDAs. I won one setup and my kid and I liked it so much that I gave him mine and ordered another. They are both in fine shape, I actually (for some reason) don't mind the gigantic dripper shape, when I am in the mood to drip. They're both in good condition. I'm seriously fine.
MAN! I am 3/4 through my freaking.... Vacopalypse closet. I have things I can't identify, things I did not know I had, and some backup regulated mods not to mention stuff like my beloved steampunk nano that I place there for a rest--- I'm fairly certain that mod is unkillable.
I still have my very first mod, it's like an MVP pro something? Ugly as sin, chews up batteries, dented in MANY places. I almost fired it up (it still works) but then I was like, "I don't feel like freaking.... Rewrapping batteries.
I am such a hoarder. It's so hard to throw anything out. All my spent nautilus coils? I kept SOME of them. Let's face it if I ever get to "rebuild" point, a certain number should probably keep me occupied.
I wish I knew which one was my "first" N2 coil. but I was probably a sane vaper then and threw it out.
Lots of stuff to go on the givaway thread just tanks I would NEVER use, like a Cascade tank. It's going to be when I get there I need a trip to the PO right now like I need a hole in the head.
I found a couple tron S tanks and I'm such a glutton for punishment, I was like, I can put one on my Mirage (not that it deserves such punishment LOL) with a titanium CLR coil and be lazy and not build. I am going to build, probably.
I think I have more than I need for the vacopalypse, to be honest. I'm just taking a break, it's exhausting. My husband was like "Is that box too big" and I was like, "hahahah." I probably won't be able to MOVE it all that metal adds up.

BF mods have their followers and I bought an Armaggedon BF with silver contacts at sale (50 bucks). I've never had real pleasure of mechs, but I'll try one more time to see if it works for me or not...
Not many, as I can recall the Zenith (two models, there's a three battery if it tickles your fancy), the Hex Ohm V3 and the Noisy Cricket V2. I vouch for the Zenith and the Cricket. Great in the palm.

Isn't barley paper only used to avoid shorts during soldering? Otherwise it stores moisture/liquids,no?
I like the mech squonks. They're easy to use, most important easy to clean up from if you ever have a leak or spill as there are no electronics to worry about, you can just toss them in the sink and rinse them out. And if your battery ever vents despite you're doing all the right things like triple checking the resistance of your build and knowing your battery, you have that big squonk hole to vent through, and the panel would probably fall right out and there would be no issues of pressure buildup like in a tube mech (even with holes). I'm far more comfy with them over a tube mech, although I've got a few stashed away for the day you may not be able to buy anything vape related in the US and the last regulated board I have fails.
The single biggest advantage of knowing how to use a mech and have a few as a just in case is they'll always work no matter how much time passes (assuming you take care of them). Otherwise, I love my regulated mods. I just like covering my bets.
You don't solder anything when rewrapping. You take away the old wrap with tweezers (you can put the wrap on top of the other too, yes!) and the paper insulator goes just on top, prior to putting a hair dryer to the wrap before it shrinks. It's just to isolate the negative from the center's positive and making it safe. Doesn't matter, paper, I use some acetate that I cut from sheets, plastic, whatever tickles your fancy as long as it is isolated.
Never really thought of that. But I don't think vaping is going to fade away anytime soon. As for boards and mods stopping working, most of my mods I put away because of power requirements. Only an old Sigelei 30W broke, my iStick 30 still works! Nowadays I'm counting 9 mods in rotation. A flood? God forbid!!!

There are many reasons for this, primarily the dielectric properties, but also contamination.
I have come across many devices using dry paper, mostly the "compatible" laptop batteries -stay away from those please - which are built by all non-orthodox techniques, to include sometime plain paper insulation.
The paper washers you see in the picture I posted are properly treated - they don't get wet in water, and do not retain moisture or other contaminants.
