    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Nope, resistance has definitely changed on many of my atomizers. I've used dedicated ohm meters, voltmeters, and oh meters on pvs in the past to support these experiences. Very weird.

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

I'm actually stunned that we are even talking about it. lol I thought it was common knowledge that as a wire ages and gets gunked up the resistance increases. That was the WHOLE point of dry burning back in the day. When we were using fixed voltage devices if we didn't dry burn our coils...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Then why does dry burning the gunk off the coils cause the base resistance to drop back down? Electrons flow through the surface of the coil. When something is covering the surface of the coil, it adds resistance.

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

You never experienced this? It happens to every atomizer I've had or used for the 6+ or so years I've been vaping. Gunked coils generally equates to increased resistance.

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Base resistance over time will change as the wire ages and you get buildup on the coil.

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Why do you feel you needed to be able to reset the base resistance? The device is suppose to monitor the resistance in order to accurately predict the current temperature. If the device doesn't have the correct base and current resistance, then the temperature is not going to be accurate. I...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Meh ... I use both YiHi and Evolv devices so I don't have a dog in this fight some people are trying to throw down. All I know is that I've been lucky in that ALL my devices work as they should. Heck, my vaporshark has a date of 11/08/2014 and I haven't experienced a single issue with it...

Am I the only person who has never had an issue with refinement? lol

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

What devices out there change base temperatures?

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

Indeed, VG is the enemy when it comes to temperature control. It likes to sit in our wicks and insulate the heat of our coils, causing them to take longer to cool. IMHO, high VG juices are more effective in tank systems that can handle them in comparison to drippers. In tanks, the coils are...

    SXmini mod ... Yihi

Why would I be bashing YiHi? I own two of their devices ..... Just because I'm not a complete homer/fanboy over products I desire/own and can cite the pros AND cons of those devices doesn't make me a basher or hater. Yes, VaporShark has a 4 month warranty. That is a con in my books ... but...

    SXmini mod ... Yihi

Micro USBs are fine. Plenty of companies and devices have managed to use micro usb in long lasting products. It comes down to the quality of the connection itself and HOW it is designed into the device. Let's not derail the conversation by trying to turn this into yet ANOTHER YiHI vs DNA...

    SXmini mod ... Yihi

Bad analogy IMHO. Tires, wiper blades, brakes, etc are all removable and user interchangeable. The USB port on a SX350 device however is actually PART of the circuitry and can effect the usability of the device. Why not include it in the standard 1 year warranty? The 1 year warranty of...

    SXmini mod ... Yihi

The USB is PART of the device so I fail to see why it should be excluded from the 1 year warranty. I understand that the usb port can receive a lot of wear and tear but frankly I don't think that's an excuse. Beef up the USB and stand by your product. Otherwise it makes it seem like they are...

Still don't see the point of displaying joules over wattage ... I'd much rather know the throttle point of my current build and what my current power level is than how many joules my device is set for in the first second.

Can any one simplify the YiHi joules temp control

I don't think anyone was claiming that YiHi was copying the actual DNA chip. They were simply stating that YiHi (among others) are copying their technologies and designs. Which of course is absolutely true and frankly, is to be expected. Right now, Evolv is leading the innovation in APVs ...

SX Mini M Class - Worth it?

The difference between the SX330 and SX350 is that the SX330 chip will either BUCK or BOOST, but not both at the same time. The SX350 will do both. Not a huge factor provided you keep your resistances within the chips capabilities. The SX Mini M has a more ergo-friendly ... smaller design...

You have to conact YiHi directly then. I'm thinking that Varitube is their repair vendor.

    SXmini mod ... Yihi

Service on the SX Mini is done through the vendor. I will caution though that there has been atleast one person charged a fee for repair work on their device ... despite having the warranty. YiHi needs to really figure out their warranty situation and make clear with the consumer on how it...
