I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

Yes, that's the right position. If your coil is very big compared to the air hole, then mount the coil a bit higher, but still straight above the air hole. Distance does not matter for the direction of the flow. Cheers!

Dead Rabbit and the air flow in it.

Your questions are all important and just. I wonder about them myself. I have a video with oposite air flow, one of the more dificult ones, the Death Trap from Deathwish Modz, see link below. I am going to test the Pulse 24 sometime in the near future, that is two coils on a postless deck...

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

I stopped smoking the first day I vaped, 4 years ago. Then and there I decided to spend the rest of my life in awesome flavors :-)

Other have to chime in on tanks, but regarding the Dead Rabbit, it will never be a cloud chaser unless you modify it. I'll make a vide on that fix soon.

Death Trap 30mm and the air flow in it

I finished this video now because the results were so interesting. I will not be able to answer or comment for some days. Sorry for that. See you on the flip side, as the Americans say :-)

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

Hi! If there is no room for cotton under the coil, that's fine. Just have cotton on the sides. On a dual coil like the Goon it's really important to be precise on the air flow, at least there should be no air that is missing the coil. From the images it looks very nice. Good luck!

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

Hi mcclintock, The closing in of the sides does not influence the Coanda-effect, or the circum-navigation of the air stream. Unless it is extreme. Having a closer space reduses the time for the turbulence to wander to the drip-tip. In extreme cases, like the Hadely and the Entheon RDAs, where 4...

Dead Rabbit and the air flow in it.

:-) A friend of mine, Halvor Hegna, came up with a brilliant idea. He sugested I file the air holes in the Dead Rabbit so that it did not point so sharply down! I could hit myself for not thinking about that simple solution. The Dead Rabbit will be revisited in a short video where I put a huge...

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

Thank you for your insight in this. My great results with the Entheon troubled me for days, but I think we figured it out in the end. I also agree with the idea of zero deviance because of high presure due to conflicting air streams and little space. Very nice, sir!

Hi dethmedalmuziq! Hold your Goon level, and look through the three holes. Your coil should be at the same level, so that the center of all three holes hit the coil at 3 o'clock, like so "000->0". Pull cotton a bit forward on the sides so turbulence don't escape to the sides. Hope this helps. M-)

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

@VictorViper Hi, VictorViper! I guess your and my theory is the same... Because you make a chamber under the coil, the turbulence under the coil will reorganize to get past the narrow sides of the coil to get into the upper chamber of the RDA, and therby create an organized and cooling flow...

Thank you all for kind words! And feel free to spread this information in any way you like. It's not like I own it or something:-) I have posted a video on the air flow of the Dead Rabbit RDA from Hellvape. Just skip to 13 min for the juicy details:-) RDA - Dead Rabbit and the air flow in it.

Dead Rabbit and the air flow in it.

Way too long video, but important stuff. The cool part starts at about 13:00 minutes in, if you know or own the Dead Rabbit allready :-) Sorry for the cautious vaping in the end, the air holes were only half way open:-( I'm steaming full ahead now! The vapor and flavor is astonishing! Best...

I have been wrong about air flow in RDAs all the time...

... and maybe you have too? I just made this video, because I have made a mockup RDA to show air flow and coil placement. The result was shocking, at least to me. If this sounds interesting, please watch the video. Sorry for the length, but I think the slow movie footage from the "wind tunnel"...

12.6 Volt Squonker that fits in your palm!

I finally got it together! I planned it for some time, had to go to the scrapheap twice, and it took 2 days to have the prototype ready. If you would like to have a palm size 12 volt squonker, have a look at this video :-)

How to avoid spit-back on "higher" wattage

Spit back is the result of too hot coils. The coils get hot if the air flow around the coils is not good enough, or the coils simply are too massive to cool down with air/ juice. Make sure the coils are on a direct line between air holes and the drip tip. If that does not work, use simpler coils...

    Micro 8.4V series box mod

I have been experimenting with 18350 batteries for the last months, and have made som discoveries:-) With the right type of coil the 18350's are very durable, and the perfect match for them is the Noisy Cricket... shortened down by 3 cm. Here is a tutorial The end result is a series mech mod...
