Did a little pre BB shopping this AM. Half dozen batteries on the way.
Was tempted to spring for a Pila too, but decided not to since I already have three TR-001's. Two for at home, and one at work and travel.
I know the conventional wisdom is that the vendors are faultless, but rather the problem lays with the CC processor. And this may well be true in some cases. However, it should be noted that on AVE's thread, the owner stated that their site had been hacked necessitating the temporary closure...
Hi, someone here.:) Also helps to store them mouthpiece down if they aren't going to be used for a while. And, definitely when left somewhere that rapid temperature changes are likely to occur like inside a car even for short durations.
OK. Lady of the house is on board.
Kinda laughed when I told her it was to hang out with fellow vapors. She quit laughing when I explained she could check out some pretty new gear, and we'd tie one on and stay at the hotel overnight. Hubba hubba:toast:
Gonna be ticked if I have to get up...
There ya go.
This right here is the reason I like to make my coil around an round metal implement and insert the wick after I have the coil in the head. Allows me to pull the legs taught, space the coil wraps evenly, and fire the coil for a couple of short burst to remove any contaminates...
Love the Pro Tank and it's little brother the EVOD. I don't consider it a clearo, but rather a bottom coil RBA.
Putting a custom coil and wick in these is so easy and done properly rivals any device on the market imo.
Will occasionally get a flooded coil as the tank nears empty. Just take...
I've not found the connection gasket to be scorched in any of the heads I've rebuilt. One thing I do not do is torch the wire before assembly. Only after the coil is in place. You don't want to oxidize the wire where it makes electrical contact. Poor electrical contact creates heat, and can...
Man this thread is a reminder of just how cool a wife I have.
I work, and work hard. She wouldn't dream of hassling me about anything I buy. Conversely, I don't buy anything that we can't afford, and neither does she. I pay the bills, and she takes care of business at home. Old school...
Dude, you have quite a gap between the wick and coil clearly visible on the back/left side. The coil needs to be lightly touching the wick all the way around. You'll always have an off/metallic taste otherwise.
Unfortunately, the head needs to have about 1mm of the "ring" ground down in order to be able to pass thru the tank opening. You don't have to remove the coil, but the wick needs to be pulled out so it doesn't get contaminated with the filings. The stock coils are OK, but not nearly as good as...
$3 for the brass 510 adapter. Or $7 for the SS 510-901 from Provape. I haven't made a build yet with the later, but it will work.
EVOD heads are about $1. Hemp wick, and 32ga resistance wire, optional but highly recommended for re-building.
Rest depends on your tool chest. Did mine with a...
