i've yet to see a PC's USB port not power a 510 even when the passthru has no battery.
infact usually the battery also limits the voltage to the 3.7 of the battery.
i say get a passthru w/o a batt. and build a nicostick for on the go.
i just started building cheap mods and selling them locally, but i do keep 2 or 3 starter kits for those who want that option.
you can help your friends, and maybe make a little profit :)
there are still times that i crave an analog, such as after a meal or other activities ;)...
but since finally getting my batteries for my 6 volt mod i find myself vaping at these times now. i was smoking 5 or 6 a day 4 days ago... got my bats and have smoked 1 cig a day since and that one...
thanks hellen and kendell... WE NEED 18650s with major mha ratings ;)!!!
just ordered 2 of the sets, and some 10440 for my lasers that are on the way...
a 5v passthru (one without a battery) is gonna give the best throat hit,, i like my 6v flashlight mod.
to get the sensation of nic hitting the back of your throat with out the nic might be to cut your liquid with some PURE GRAIN ALCOHOL or atleast 151. try mixing a few mililiters and...
while 36 or even 30mg nic levels are probably too high for most people, if you smoked like i did (deeply inhaling and holding smoke in for max effect) then it may take a high nic level to satisfy your existing needs.
i vape 36mg cut with VG to ~30mg, and i find myself using the e-cig less...
in nerf's sticky in the modding section he sells not only connectors for making mods, but he also sells pre-assembled adapters with a warranty.
there are also many suppliers selling various adapters.
if you want all the flavor of the original liquid as opposed to cutting both nic and flavor strenght in half, one solution would be to buy equal parts 0 nic and 6mg nic of the same flavor and then mix the 2. the result would be 3mg liquid with full flavor.
still using my first atty on a 901 5v usb pass thru, it's been going strong for over 2 months, but starting to become harder to draw thru... but when i zap it with 6v 1A from an AC to DC wall adapter it seems to clear up for a day or 2.
i think the real factor is how long you keep the...
today (exactly 1 month after ordering) i received a DX shipment:confused:
so i get the package open to find chargers but no batteries. i'll never order from DX again period. they had the batteries in-stock when ordered, but the chargers were back ordered and yet i get the chargers...
i got home today and found a wonderful pink delivery slip in my mailbox today:D. 20 minutes till i can go pick it up:p
i thought i'd give you a little info on my order which was CR2 batteries and chargers for flashlight mods. this order was placed at DX on 10-10 and items were back ordered...
happy day!!! my CR2 batteries for my magnum flashlight mods just came in. I pray that the chargers shipped with them... i'll let ya know later how things work out.
i also believe it sounds like you may have ran the atty too long without enough liquid dripped on it.
i find it helps me to drip again as soon as the vapor level decreases... and it will help to put a topped off cart on after dripping to prevent those dry runs that destroy attys.
i think you hit on a few key points there... many smokers and especially VAPERs are intelligent and curious people... maybe that's why so many of my friends in the PC Tech field are smokers (plus we need the stress reduction;) )
and this forum has to have some of the most honest and helpful...
i have a feeling that all that will change when you get the protege in... i sure hope so considering what they cost...
but most of the problems you describe are usually caused by either not enough current going thru the atty or not enough juice at the atty. since you are dripping i'd say...
i'd guess that even if it is a cut, the liquid is probably irratating it even if the liquid is not the cause of the original problem.
i as well as others have had sores appear when first using our PVs but they tend to go away quickly and seem less likely to reoccur as our bodies get used to...
