    Thanks! ebay is out of stock on all the kanthal 32, is kanthal D an option? So would 34 gauge be a happy medium between the 32 and 36? What size nichrome do you recommend for a beginner like myself?

    Can someone clue me in on the difference between Kanthal D and A-1? I can't locate any Kanthal awg 32, but have found 34. Would that work ok? Really need some suggestions on wires and sizes, want to order some for backup. Thanks!

    Ok, what difference does the size of wire make? Why is 32 the preferred? If I were to order nicrhome right now, which would be the best size to start with, a good happy medium. Is there any other wicking material available that would be ok other than the stuff at COV?
