That sounds much more like something is amiss with the 510 connection on your M class rather than it being a chip issue. See if cleaning the 510 really well helps. -

Thanks very much for posting this info. I was pulling out my hair trying to figure out why I was seeing inconsistent temps. I'll try some lower oHm builds to see if that works better. I'm also very happy to hear that the hum doesn't indicate anything of concern. :)- peraspera

I can confirm inconsistent temperature control behavior between .21 and .38 oHms. I also saw it with a .16 Vapor Shark Ni200 Kanger Subtank head but not so pronounced. It's hard to know exactly why this is as there is no useful screen feedback. I tried temps between 350°450 at 10° increments... -

Yihi is showing a >25 amp battery requirement in their SX350J specs. Samsung 25Rs are 20 amp batteries. I never fudge on battery specs so I use Orbtronic SX30s and VCT4s that are rated for 30 amps. -

Aside from the safety question, using underpowered batteries will likely void your warranty and will severely limit the versatility of your KBOX. You would be well ahead of the game both in aggravation, expense and safety to stick to the batteries jseah recommended from the suppliers I listed...- peraspera

Since you know how to build you might want to check out Fluid Vapor's new DNA 40 DIY kit they had made although I don't see it on their site yet. The box is very similar in size to the VS DNAs. I don't think it's cheap but it looked super nice when Rob, Fluid's owner, previewed it on VapeTV... -

The specs for the KBOX call for ≥20 amp batteries. That means 20 amps continuouspulse ratings are meaningless marketing drivel. If your flashlight batteries can't deliver 20 amps or more continuous purchase ones that do from a known reliable source such as Illumination Supply, Lighthound...- peraspera

I seem to recall someone posting quite some time ago that YiHi was considering making a skin for the SX Mini S class but it never materialized. Can't hurt to contact YiHi and ask them to make a skin but the J-Wrap is probably your best option for awhile- peraspera
