    You are right, but only for empty coil, when legs are cooled by contact with bulk metal, and the rest of coil can run hot. Add wick and juice. Coil will be thoroughly cooled by boiling juice, but what about legs? Interesting logic. Did you really want to say that there are no temperature...

    Coil legs can be much hotter and evaporate/burn some juice... Contact of a wick and a coil can be broken in places... TC measure only an average. Hotter spots can occur.
