    "E-smoking" sub forum name change

The reason we haven't used the term 'vaping' much on ECF is because we were the first, and this term either wasn't used or was too obscure. In 2007 when we started the word was hardly used, and even by 2010 this word wasn't widely recognised for ecig use. It was used by others, in another area...

A great list of refs for mech and RBA users, by State O' Flux: http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/state-o-flux/5403-advanced-education-mech-rba-users.html And from Baditude: Information Resources for Your First RBA...

Anyone else read the Electronic cigarette liquids analysis-evaluating potentially harmful ingredients

An interesting fact has come out of this research: it looks as if DA is being used as a flavour enhancer much like MSG in food, and can therefore be found almost anywhere. We used to think of it as a buttery/creamy flavour only - but apparently it's popping up in everything. This appears to be...

Anyone else read the Electronic cigarette liquids analysis-evaluating potentially harmful ingredients

Many things are safe to ingest but not inhale. The digestive tract is designed to handle all sorts of toxins and pathogens. The lungs are designed for gas exchange and don't handle anything else very well.

    Permanent cold, throat irritation

Your doc might try simple anti-histamines like Cetirizine, which is also available OTC. Or you could have a sinus infection that will only respond to antibiotics or even draining. Did hear of a case of that.

Side effects when switching to vaping - Post meant to relax newbies

I'm really interested in the 'teeth hurting' issue, which apparently doesn't respond to any change in refills etc. Only thing I can think of ATM is the vacuum effect, which is well-known for causing 'dry socket' after a tooth extraction (a very painful result of the healing blood clot shifting...

    strange, lingering chest discomfort

It seems as if vaping is either the cause or making an existing problem worse. You could change various factors or give up vaping. While most people have a trouble-free experience, some find they need to change something in order to achieve the best result. For example you could: 1. Not too...

E-cigarettes and vaping ‘may cause lung cancer like normal cigarettes’

Laugesen stated all those years ago that, "It is impossible for e-cigarettes to cause lung cancer". That statement still holds good today because no one has disproved it, and indeed no new information has even put its veracity in question. However there are certain vaping modes that appear to...

    New Format

Good idea. What we need is a couple of stealth skins. The header will have something like Federal Office of Corporate Tax Affairs, with a spoof graphic for some gov department and a bunch of tax link buttons and stuff on the top navbar (that go nowhere). That way if anyone looks over your...

What is up with this "Sub-ohm advisory"?

@5150sick The crucial issue is: what temperature is the atomiser coil running at? A regular atty runs at 60C - 70C. I've seen various anecdotal tests of RBA coils run hot ('sub-ohm') and they are higher than this. The fact that hotter coils produce higher quantities of unwanted materials is...

What is up with this "Sub-ohm advisory"?

Understood - but you weren't around during the previous cycle. This has all happened before, and it's not your fault you don't know about it. Mechmods were popular previously (in 2010 - 2011), then the fashion moved to VV and VW. Sales of mechmods fell through the floor, and you could be excused...

OK I'll try again: The ToS is for lawyers arguing in court about legal issues. Only lawyers understand the implications. Even they don't understand the implications and argue about them. Judges don't understand the implications until the lawyers have explained it to them, and anyway there will...

Hey, you need to read Catch 22. It is the fount of all wisdom. I didn't understand the ToS until I consulted Catch 22, then it all became clear to me. At that point I also understood the FDA and EU. If Catch 22 doesn't work for you, try the I Ching.

    huge heat difference? just me?

Also as coil resistance falls and more power is drawn, it is likely that resistance through the APV will become more of a factor in heat generation. In addition there may be some inductive load factor that is not calculated for, the circuit may not be a purely resistive load.

How much do Brick and mortar stores pay for their Juices from Suppliers

There will always be work for a pharmacist/vaper although the best opportunities will be for those who can build mixes that have appeal - in other words good, successful DIY specialists with a pharmacy qualification who go professional. The problem is that the FDA is tasked with shutting vaping...

This raises an important point. If a member gets to 500 posts without reading the rules or ToS, maybe they should get an infraction or something. Or an award.

OK so maybe we should alter the ToS: You can say or do anything you like on this site. Vaping is for everyone, even toddlers. Ecigs are completely harmless, will help you lose weight, and will prolong your life for 20 years. We'll pay you for anything you post. You can reprint our stuff...
