Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

I'd be willing to bet that SKU 5044200 on FT is the coppervape version. Why? Cause it has the exact same packaging as the UTA2 clone (with bell cap) which I have several of. That version is not the one with the best reviews on FT, so if I am right you might wanna reconsider.

Here's something different from UWELL. The D2 RTA IS COMING SOON!

Not quite. I take my K5, fill it with water, close the top cap. Now I remove the base while holding it upright. The water is still in the tank, and is not going anywhere. Of course with no wick it would probably flood sooner or later, but it is not like it would immediately pour out all of the...

    Kay fun v5 clone problems

At first I used to keep one of the juice holes clear of cotton. This worked great for a day or two, then I started to get dry hits. Now I do like most reviewers, as light/fluffy as possible but making sure both holes are covered.

What are some RTA that are designed like kayfun 5?

That is a good one, but nothing like the K5 (in terms of design).

Then it obviously works for you. For me, though, with the Serpent I had issues with the JFC not being completely closed when it was supposed to be. Before I managed to fix it by fitting an o-ring, it would leak like hell everytime I tried to fill it from the top. Several others had the same...

Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

They both seem to be good, but the SJMY seems to have a slight upper hand. Note that the SXK has a thicker glass section. So the SXK's glass section will not fit other K5s, but other K5's glass sections will fit the SXK. For cleaning you only have to: 1) Unscrew the base. 2) Unscrew the top...

Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

In general I do not think it wicks quite as well as my beloved Ubertoot clones, although I have not had any notable problems with dry hits on the K5's. I have noticed that it gunks up faster (than the Ubertoots) when using darker/sweeter juices, so I might try to fill a little less and see it...

Attack of the (Kayfun V5) Clones!

For me it has worked great to fill it just over the fill holes. Have tried a bit more than that too, but then it started seeping out the top cap seam and I got gurgling and afc sweat.

EHPro Bachelor RTA - single coil

Did it come with the MTL kit? Doesn't say on the sr-vapes.co.uk page, and some sites list it as a seperate product.

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

So I have tried the first dry burn with the PTFE tube installed. I did it with a 2mm ID twisted coil (2x28G) 7 wraps, at 28 watts. No matter how many times I hit it, and pulsed it, it didn't seem to have any effect on the PTFE. Nor could I smell anything other than the odeurs from the burnt...

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

I have yet to rewick and dry burn it since I installed the PTFE, but I am a bit curious about that too. I guess that IF it melts a little bit and releases fumes, it will not be while vaping, so it should be ok. Maybe I will put something between the PTFE and the coil to heat insulate it, like a...

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

The problem is, I believe, that the air hole on the deck is so wide that a there will be a lot of excess air not hitting the coil. The pressure of the air hitting the coil will also be quite weak with the AFC almost closed off. What I did was I bought a 5mm OD/3mm ID PTFE tube on ebay, and...

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

I tried that, with different o-rings. With some of the o-rings, being too small, the water would seep through. If the o-ring has too narrow inner diameter, it will sit too tight and go straight across the juice channels leaving a hole there when the JFC is closed. From the (blurry) picture it...

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

That was weird. With the o-ring in place, plus the juice flow control closed, it should not leak. It has nothing to do with your build/wicking. I would check: a) Are you actually closing the JFC when you fill? b) Do you burp it? (hold it upside down when opening the JFC after filling)

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

If you close the airflow too tight, the speed of the air as it hits the coil will be too slow, so you'll still end up with a harsh vape. It is better to restrict it in the airhole underneath the coil.

    Serpent RTA by WOTOFO

Thanks dwcraig1, that sounds promising. One question: I use to dry-burn my coils when I rewick them. Will the PTFE be able to whitstand that?
