I leave enough air space at the top of the bottle so I can mix the contents by shaking and turning which seems important if it's been sitting for years in the freezer. I don't think the extra oxygen in that small space matters for oxidation. Once it's absorbed that should be the end of it...
It would help if you say how many mg of nic is in you eliquid. If you have low mg nic and running low power that would likely explain the situation. A newbie should have lower power with high nic. Later you might (or might not) increase power and decrease nic.
I use Japanese organic cotton that comes in square pads so it's easy to cut consistant peices. I want the cotton in close contact with the coil, all the way around when everything is saturated. To get the cotton through the coil I might keep tension on both ends and give the entire peice a few...
So far a group in the UK and another in France say they intend to do clinical trials on nic patches. I wonder, why only 2? And their pace seems leisurely. If nic patches perform as well as smoking it's a game changer.
Governments are attacking vaping to protect cigarette taxes. They can get their way by interfering with access to products. Non smokers tolerate the government BS because they perceive the benefit from the tax money. The nicotine/covid relationship is different. Nicotine patches are...
My problem with the French study is it's likely to be slow moving. We need the argument in favor of nicotine ASAP. There are so many of us, potential volunteers, who might help settle the question sooner--if there was a plan for doing that. I'm not a scientist, don't know how to design and...
There's a new possibility. There's strong evidence that nicotine is protective against the corona virus. Smokers are under represented in hospital admissions for covid by 80%. Clinical trials are getting started with nic patches to confirm that the mechanism for this is the nicotine and not...
My one liter batches are stored in a bottle for 100mg product. I measure flavor with a graduated cylinder, since it's only 10ml, and everything else with a kitchen scale.
We need a rapid way to test the hypothesis that nicotine is protective against covid. I bet the French won't have anything...
I try to keep enough empty space in long term storage bottles for shaking. When it's time for mixing a 1 liter bottles is divided into 4 250ml bottles. I only vape one flavor so lately I'm lazy and mixing 1 liter batches, keep that in plastic bottle in the freezer with a 200 ml squeeze bottle...
Mix and rebuild and don't buy things you don't need vaping is pretty much free. My DIY is one cent per ml so 10 cents a day. I have all the mods and atomizers I'll ever need but there are a few more things still on the wish list. My favorite mods and atomizers are still the ones I stockpiled...
Nobody was investigating nicotine for the virus until it was noticed that smokers were underrepresented by 4 times when people came too the hospital and tested positive. They are singling out nicotine for a closer look because there is a known mechanism and nicotine patches already exist...
I've read the people doing the research plan to figure out dosing. Not clear too me how they would do that. My guess is a never smoker is fine on a lower dose than a smoker. I also wonder if it would still be effective to wait for symptoms unless someone is high risk or front line. If people...
May be the better question is, what is your favorite. Mine is the SV rda clone. I got a couple handfulls of them cheap for the vapocaolypse. I have other atomizers but always drift back to the SV.
Turns out smokers are 4 x less likely to to be hospitalized with the virus and the nicotine is probably the reason. Nic attaches to the same cell receptor used by the virus and crowds it out. Next will come studies with nic patches to see if they work like smoking I figure the moment the...
It's possible that nicotine taken without the smoke will reduce hospital admissions by something like 80%. That wouldn't just flatten the curve. It would crush it and repair the economy faster. Does anyonne here know of a vaper who has tested positive for the virus?
When I started vaping 5 1/2 years ago we were going through the flavor scares. What I did with first diy was add the smallest possible amount of flavor I could detect which turned out to be 1%. It tastes better than unflavored but so subtle it almost doesn't matter what flavor I use at 1%. So...
The public won't wait months or longer to find out what happens in some French experiments. Assuming nicotine is the protective feature may be patches will be effective. May be vaping will turn out to be more effective for dosing. In the mean time restricting access to non combustible...
Seems evidence that nicotine is protective against the virus is increasing. While the science plods along the word will spread so nic patches might disappear from store shelves as fast as N95 masks. Ramping up production of patches might be as difficult as with masks. That should not be a...
Thanks for the suggestions.
States including NY are suddenly in the worst financial condition ever. They would be biased in favor of preserving tobacco taxes. I wonder how NY'ers will adapt. I wonder the same about MA which banned vape stuff some months back. May be hard to find out since...
The best news in the letters is FDA employees have been transfered to higher priority activities. Higher priorities could persist for a long time. I expect we are living in the era between BC and AC, Before Coronavirus and After Coronavirus.
The next order will be parts and duplicates. After...
