Yes Virginia, mechanical switches CAN fail...

The spring mechanism inside broke. So now when it's pushed in, it stays pushed in. No idea how it happened. It was just sitting on my desk and was working fine the last time I took a vape. Wasn't dropped, bumped, smashed, or anything. I have an email out to Reo. Hopefully they'll fix it. It's...

Yes Virginia, mechanical switches CAN fail...

...like the one in my Reo Grand just did. So, can we as a group please stop telling people that mechanical switches will never fail? They are mechanical. Anything mechanical will eventually fail. /EndFrustratedNicotineDeprivedRant

    Juice feeder Bottom feeder availability...

Unfortunately, the Wetbox is usually the only one regularly in stock. At least it was when I was looking for a bottom fed device a few months back. However, now that I have my Reo, I can say that it was absolutely worth the wait and all the leg work involved in getting one when a new batch is...

    306 atty on 510's

You don't need to wait 20 minutes or blow it out and redrip. Just make sure the bridge/coil is completely wet before vaping it. My priming method is a bit different since I use a Reo. I feed a bit of juice and suck it into the atty without pushing the activator button. Then I give it a very...

How long have you been vaping?

I've been vaping since July 1, 2010. I have no plans to quit or cut down my nic level either. I didn't even plan to quit smoking when I bought my first PV. I expected to smoke until I shed this mortal coil. I got my first PV with the idea of having a portable/personal hookah and ended up...

What does everyone keep their road kit in?

Before I got my Reo, I used an Altoids tin as well. Since the Reo is self contained, I only need to carry an extra battery. I just throw one in my backpack or my pocket.

Professional Web Development and Design Services

Hey Jackal...just saw your post. The message you sent ended up in my spam folder for some reason. I was able to rescue it though and just replied to you via email.

Is Mad Vapes always out of everything?

Not everything. Just what I need when I need it. :) They do a great job though. Definitely one of the best suppliers in the industry right now.

How much $$$ did you save since you started vaping and what did you do with all the extra dough???

I haven't saved a penny. I've bought way too many PVs for that. Now that I've found my perfect setup though, I expect some time this year I'll break even and start saving. I never really cared about saving money though. I tried PVs on a whim as something to do in addition to smoking. I never...

    What's so bad about cartridges?

Carts didn't work for me because of the burnt taste when they run dry or can't wick fast enough to keep up with my vaping. They're also a pain to fill and I found too much juice getting trapped in the filler. Cartomizers just never tasted good to me. I tried dripping and loved it. After that, I...

Vaping in the car - film on windows

What's your deal exactly? This is the second, nearly identical post you've made quoting something that no person in either thread stated. Of course no one knows the long term health effects. Ecigs have only been around for 7 years. That doesn't mean we can't listen to our bodies and use educated...

Some newbies should have hands on guides! AKA what a mess I've made!

If the tanks still don't do it for you, a juice fed device might be the answer. There are several different styles to get. Reo, Wetbox, Phidias, and probably more that I'm forgetting. You can also get a Vape Mate from Super-T. It's a juice feeder add on for any PV that takes a 510 atty.

What's your next mod on the must have list?

I'm pretty much set with my Reo Grand. It does everything I need, so I don't see myself getting anything new in the near future. I'm intrigued by the Darwin's performance, but it's rather ugly and too expensive to buy on a whim. If I do end up buying anything new though, it will probably be a...

Upgrading from a Riva, does the product I want exist?

I think you've been sold a bad bill of goods in regards to 3.7v in this thread. First off, the performance drop many are talking about is nowhere near as bad as they've made it seem. Second, right before it dies, a 3.7v LiIon battery still hits as a good as an eGo or a Riva. Third, IMR batteries...

How do you handle different flavours while you're away from home

Empty Altoid tins are awesome for carrying various small items. Before I started vaping only a single flavor with a juice feeder, I'd load one up with a few 3ml bottles and an extra battery, atty, and drip tip. I'd also line mine with a paper towel to soak up any spills.

looking for a 14500 battery device

+1 for a box mod. After my Reo, it's my favorite PV. So simple, so cheap, yet so functional. You're not getting a lock out switch for any less. That's for sure. They are VERY easy to build too. If you've already got soldering equipment, a drill, and epoxy, you're only looking at spending $10ish.

    Boiling your Attys Poll.

I do alcohol soaks. I'll use an atty for a day or two and drop it in for a soak. I'll have several in rotation at any given time. When I drop one in for a soak, I'll have one or more attys that have already been soaking for at least a day or are drying/dried out from a prior soak. It's like...

Same flavor all day, every day for me.

If not Ali'i, what? Going out Box Mod recommendation

I love my Reo Grand. You'd have to try to get one when they're in stock, same as the Ali'i, though. In the meantime, you could always go with a Wet Box. Quite a few vendors sell them and they're much cheaper than the metal/wood units.

Basilray Reviews: The Tekk Mod from Clouds of Vapor

I loved my Tekk mod. The only thing I didn't like about it was that any leakage from accidental over dripping would seep right into the body of the device. I eventually ended up frying mine by not carefully reassembling it after taking it apart to clean the juice out of the inside.
