Complete beginner, need to know if E-Cigs are right for me

No, it's not going to give that same effect. A lot of the cigarette high comes from the thousands of other chemicals in cigarettes. It will give you a pure nicotine high though, which feels a lot like a caffeine rush.

If you switched from analogs to vaping...

    why drip?

It's really not as inconvenient as it seems; certainly no more so than taking digging a pack of analogs and a lighter out of a purse or pocket and lighting one up used to be. With a broken in atomizer, a few drops last at least as long as an analog. Juice fed devices make it even more...

    Utter & complete CONFUSION.

If an analog like draw is what your after, the closest I've come to finding it is Cisco LR 306 atomizers. 306 attys have the same threads as 510 attys and will fit on any device that accepts a 510 atty/carto. (eg. the eGo/Riva) However, I strongly recommend you do not try these until you have a...

Ego Recommendation Hating: A recommendee's (sp?) perspective

On the forums, I'll almost always recommend a Riva (or an eGo, but the cheaper price and bigger battery make the Riva my #1 suggestion). I tend to steer real life friends towards a 3.7v box mod though. The extra 0.5v makes a big difference, and the non-proprietary battery is much cheaper to...

Came across these fluxomizers..what is OHM?

Here's a thread I wrote a few months back explaining the technical aspects of PVs in an easy to understand manner. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/127362-so-what-high-voltage-vaping-all-about-everything-youve-wanted-know-plus-bit-electronic-theory.html

    100% vg

VG can be thinned but does not need to be thinned. It vapes just fine at full consistency, especially since many flavorings are suspended in PG and you'll end up with a PG/VG mix anyway.

Things I wish I knew when I started

Dry burns are an atty cleaning method outlined in this post. In my opinion, soaking attys in alcohol overnight is nearly as effective and much less risky in terms of accidentally ruining an atomizer. I've lost more than a few to dry burns, but none to alcohol soaks.

How do you use an ejuice calculator

PG is throat hit. VG is vapor. Both are unflavored. The percentage of flavoring in the final mix determines flavor strength.

Things I wish I knew when I started

You can buy any strength. Because it's unflavored, you'll only be mixing a portion of it. The rest of the juice will consist of plain PG and/or VG, and flavoring. You'd use a calculator such as this one to find the correct amount of each part to mix. eJuice Recipe Calculator The benefit of...

Things I wish I knew when I started

I wrote a thread a while back explaining all this should you become curious as to what it all means. http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/general-e-smoking-discussion/127362-so-what-high-voltage-vaping-all-about-everything-youve-wanted-know-plus-bit-electronic-theory.html

Things I wish I knew when I started

I'm going to have to respectfully disagree with this comment. This is a case of one person's preference being projected as if it would be everyone's preference if they only tried it. I've owned a VV device and it was not for me. I vape the same juice every day and it's perfect at 3.7v with an...

    Dripping

I just wanted to point out for the benefit of those who haven't tried dripping that the 3-5 puffs quoted above is a very conservative estimate. How many puffs you get depends on a lot of factors, including the voltage of your device, the resistance and condition of the atomizer, the type of...

The cheapest way to start e-cigs

Just an FYI, the box mod kit costs $8, but by the time you add batteries, a couple of attys, carts or drip tip, a charger, and some juice you're up to around $50. Don't get me wrong. I love the box mod and get a lot of friends started on vaping with them, but it's not the cheapest intro to ecigs.

Advice on what to buy for newcomers

I can understand the OP's point to a degree, but people come here to get the opinions of those who have more experience than they do. I started off with an analog look-a-like and I hated it. It took me six months and eight different PVs before I figured out what's perfect for me. I've spent well...

    Vaping @ the office

Software engineer here. I stealth vape at work all day. I still go outside at least 2 times a day to see the sun though. My desk is buried inside the building in a room with no windows.

    My attys are leaking

It is absolutely possible to flood a 306. However, they do go through juice a lot faster so it takes more drops before it's flooded.

    Help with dripping?

Most automatic batteries are not sealed. Excess juice can leak into unsealed batteries when drip destroying them.

    Help with dripping?

There is still vapor trapped in the tip. Trapped vapor will prevent the juice from getting down to the bridge and it will go into your mouth. You can clear it out by inhaling it without pushing the button before you drip or you can blow into the drip tip after you've dripped into it. The pitch...
