I'm vaping with the 1.1 ohm coil included in the Siren 2 package. It's been 4 days, and the coil became gunky. I tried dry burning it just like this guy does:
However, it seems to be not working. This how it looks after dry burning several times:
I should add that it is working very well...
Shouldn't the wicking material be resistant to fire? I tried and they burnt to ashes. I think my material is organic cotton, since "the fibers run in a certain direction".
Additionally, my father is a retired dentist and I found this among his stuff:
Can I use these if I put them in boiling...
How long should be legs of the wicks be? I assume it should be visible at the bottom:
I'm not sure why it's turned brown on the right side. It is working well anyway.
Okay, so I tried to change the wicks for the first time (The shopper did the first wicking and it looked very easy). However, the wicking material (cotton or rayon or whatever it is) gets teared apart so easily. I tried to get it through coil, but it got torn every time. Finally I managed to do...
Just now I filled the tank and I got leakage. when I blow in the chimney, juice comes out from the air holes. What has gone wrong? I didn't pour juice in the chimney. But I did turn the mod upside down to see how much liquid is in the tank, which I thought should be harmless.
So as I suspected, the cotton that guy sold me (5 sheets of unknown brand) is low quality.
@Silka How does the vaping experience change if I use, say a 0.5 ohm coil?
I recently bought a Siren 2 MTL RTA. The included coil is 1.1 ohm, and I find vaping at 15w to be just right. However, when I chain vape at 15w, or try above 20w, I get dry hits. Is the problem the quality of the cotton? Or this RTA is not supposed to handle 15+ watts?
Edit: I changed the title.
I assume my flavors are those "shake and vape" types. I will save the juice for a few weeks and see if the taste gets better. Right now I went up to 6% flavor and it tastes fairly good. Thanks all, much to be learned and experimented.
I got a 1 litre Wizard Vapes 70/30 e-liquid base and 3 LorAnn Super Strength Flavors. STRAWBERRY KIWI, BLACKBERRY and APPLE. What is the process of making the juice? I'm thinking of starting with 1% STRAWBERRY KIWI. I also have some 100 mg/ml nicotine. Any relevant links are also appreciated.
Depending on the juice, I usually find somewhere between 25 to 30w as the right wattage for me with my cCell 0.5 ohm coils.
What is my problem? My mod gets too hot at my favorite range.
I agree with you all, I just had a wrong reading of what @Imfallen_Angel suggested:
Anyway, the wattage I read at 220C is around 25w. Since there are tanks that can handle up to 230w, I expected less heat at 25w. My conclusion is that my mod is not faulty, it's the wrong mod for my purposes.
