you can always check steam engine wire wizard for the actual temp offset for your given wire. they've added an "equivalent" tab, just select the wire you want from the drop down, choose a temp youd like to achieve, and it spits out the offset. -

just to add. as nice as adjustable tcr would be in a dna40, there are a couple of tc wires that work with some temp offset. ti works great, nife48(52) works great, and ss430 could work at 200f (around 460f in real temp in ni mode). so there are a few tc options outside of ni200. i do hope evolv... -

hold the wattage down button till it hits 1 watt and keep holding it. it'll give you your geniune serial number. thats how we know its an authentic board. -

youre complaining about a 50 cent spring not being high enough resistance to justify an upgrade not being worth it? very strange reasoning. being able to make 10 springs of my own wire/ohm/gauge in about 2 minutes that will last me months is amazing, not to mention how cheap the springs can be... -

have you tried rolling the cotton (or rayon) and then as youre passing it through the coil, twist it like a screw while keeping the wick tight at both ends with your fingers. you should screw from both ends using your index fingers and thumbs. hope that helps. -

i bought some 24awg ti grade 1 for sping making. took a 5 inch piece, cleaned with rubbing alcohol, wrapped it on my coil master 2mm rod tightly wrapped coils. used a nail clipper to trim legs for perfect ends, and stretched out wire pulling from both end with my finger nails while still on coil... -

theres no way. the dna40 chip fits in with absolutely no room to spare. hate to be the nay-sayer, but having gone through swapping the clone for the authentic, i can tell you its extremely tight. -

theres a collar on the bottom of the 510 that unscrews and releases the 510 floating pin assembly (pin, oring, spring and collar). you can also unscrew the delrin isolator from the 510 shell. both ways work for separating pin from 510 shell -
