not that clones are all that kosher, but logo and serial is crossing the line and a brazen move. seems like you could pop that sucker in the classies and pass it off as an authentic gg ithaka, no?
it'll be very clear once you get the ithaka, its the nut that holds the ceramic cup in place. it lives inside the cup, and part of the center post assembly. the flanged part should be faced down in the cup.
not sure if this has been mentioned here, but i was getting the dreaded gurgle. i knew that there was a new nut that was sent out for the ithakas which was super small. i decided to cut off about 4mm of the ceramic nut with a dremel and it seems the gurgle is gone. ill have to report back after...
you can easily purchase "ready wires" of many different ohm ratings. i know stormys has some. a zapper is another option, but a little bit of a learning curve, or ypu can easily do the manual twist method.
if it was baseless, it wouldn't be BASED on my subjective opinion and experience...which it clearly states. i guess reading and having polite conversations/discussions isnt your forte.
silver is pretty soft, so that could be the issue. also, i find that 32 gauge is as big as you can go without making the ceramic too tight and possibly cut the wire. i even had to sand the ceramics inner part where the center pole goes, was just so damn tight. you might try the same so you can...
the aga's are mostly designed for mesh. its hard to use silica in a bottom fed system from my experience. theres some amaxing silica rba's out there. id suggest a cheap clone to see how you like it.
yeah, mine was in a plastic bubble wrap by itself. sounds like you had a ce2 ceramic to use anyway. glad you worked out, its a great atty clone for sure!!
kinda worries me that theres a plastic insulator at all. if the wick melted it that quickly, id imagine youd be vaping some serious plastic fumes, id say you just oxidize the mesh and leave the insulator out. just dont want you inhaling something harmful.
