Just to share my recent Ithaka clone purchase. 1:1 copy.
I don't like silica wick tank but i'm curious with the quality when i saw it selling locally. My bad.
It came with the logo and the serial number.

I have the Hercules from Stormys Vapor Cellar, the RH clone. I have been building single coils for it. I used the ready wire from Mad Vapes and my coil is working properly.

My issue is with wicking. The coil works when I drip e juice through the mouth piece, but for some reason when I just have juice in the tank, it does not get to the wick enough. I made sure the slots on the piece that screws on to the cup assembly were over the wicks. I can't figure out what the issue is. I used 3 mm silica, with four wicks going diagonally across the ceramic cup. I have rebuilt the thing several times. I just get the same result. The coil works properly when liquid is on it, but the liquid is not getting to the coil from the tank.

Take out 2 strands of silica from each wick in the side channels, give that a try

Are you opening up the juice control? Twist the mouthpiece counterclockwise about one full turn or so, then adjust from there, depending on the thickness of your juice, it may take more turns to expose more of the wick to the juice. When your vapor starts diminishing, turn it back clockwise a bit (you are then over-wicking).

Good luck..

I will have to rebuild it then. Thanks for the suggestions. When I built the last coil, I screwed the mouthpiece until it was completely covering the wicks. If I am getting the above message, it is supposed to be a little above and that is how the juice gets to the coil?

Back your mouthpiece off after you build and fill, or you will flood your chamber when you tighten everything up.

Yes...partially. You should be able to adjust the juice control at any time, even after its fully assembled.... unless you tightened it down too much. The mouthpiece should just be run down to the point where it comes into contact with the ring that holds the ceramic cup assembly, not cranked down too tight. Try turning it counterclockwise...but if it's really cranked-down hard, you might unscrew the entire ceramic assembly. You should be able to see the ring & the ceramic through the clear part of the tank as you unscrew -if they both turn together, you will need to rebuild it anyway.

Lining up the slots in the ring to the slots in the ceramic works OK for thin juices, but if you run anything higher than about 70/30 PG/VG, or chain-vape, you won't keep the wicks supplied - that's where the juice control/mouthpiece come in. If you have that completely closed, I'm not surprised you are getting dry hits.

This may have been mentioned before as I recall some folks complaining about the tight draw on Hercules. One might not even notice but in my case my everyday atomizer is an Ithaka. My wife is starting to show an interest in vaping again (again) and I set up a Hercules on a new Vamo for her and I noticed right away the difference in the draw between the Hercules and Ithaka so I compared the I.D. of the positive pin and sure enough the Hercules is smaller (Tobeco clone is also). They are now the same I.D. and the draw is the same. Not really a problem just an observation of sorts.

Well I got my Herc aka (Ithaka) RH version a few days ago setup a single coil dual wick for a first run. Works perfectly I am able to keep my post centered by playing my finger over the ceramic cup assembly and steadying it as I twist on the base seems to work good. I did clean the threads and all parts thoroughly before setting it up. Going to try a dual coil in a couple days waiting on some new silica 2.5mm to come in. I've been using it on a now very functional segelei #8 mod it looks very nice sitting atop it too.

Did you drill out the positive pin?

If so...what size drill bit?

I have been thinking about doing this, just not gotten around to making it happen yet.

I used a diamond bit on a Dremel going into each end of the tube about 6 mm deep.
I'm not sure of the size but just a tiny bit larger than the existing hole, smaller than 1/16" though.
The biggest problem that existed was the ceramic end was a little smaller I.D due to the threading/plating, just getting that opened to the right size probably made a big difference.
Be super careful as the walls are already quite thin.

Mine only leaks when I don't set it up properly. The Hercules/Ithaka works through air pressure, so when you miss something, it leaks.

I couldnt get mine wicking very well if you read the posts on the last page and the beginning of this page, some of the gracious members tell me how to set up the juice control (the mouthpiece part that screws onto the atomizer base).

FYI: The RH Hercules is pretty much a piece by piece replica of the GG Ithaka. When I was first learning to set up mine, I just watched Ithaka building vids.
