Congrats, and I'm more impressed that you got that electronics cover off more than anything. I started to think about it once and totally threw in the towel as it wouldn't budge lol

    Nicotine Comparisons

As you recall I had issues with MFS nicotine when they switched to alchem, and recently they've switched back to their old supplier. I got a 1L bottle of the new batch this week. The solution is very clear with a slight tint only noticeable in a clear glass bottle against a white background...

Best performance so far is dual 10 wraps of 30 gauge on 16 gauge needles for 1.0 ohm in the patriot. Gives me a real 5.2v when dialed to 30 watts. Fast heat up time and comparable performance to my standard mech vape which is dual 8 wraps on 16 gauge needles but using 28 gauge for ~ .520 ohms.

I've noticed similar strangeness. Set to 30 watts on 1.0 to 1.8 ohm coils I usually get an actual 27-28 watts , but sometimes less (23-24). Haven't isolated a cause yet. One thing is for sure, the unit does conistently underpower, sometimes an amount that's negligible for me, sometimes too...

    REOs not performing well?

I'm noticing a bigger Vdrop then when my grand was brand new...same coils, multiple different batteries. I'm thinking the 510 area must need a cleaning or tightening as the spring and positive pin is pristine and well maintained. Any tips on how to disassemble SAFELY :) ? EDIT: NM, got it apart.

    Comparison of VTC4, VTC5, LG ICR18650HE2 and Samsung INR18650-25R

I agree 100%, significantly less for sure. It's not a hot vape and you don't need massive air unless you prefer it, flavors don't burn, unflavored (95% of my vaping) is crisp and clean, and plumes of vapor only a competitive cloud blower wouldn't be satisfied with. Great for 'sipping' and light...

    Comparison of VTC4, VTC5, LG ICR18650HE2 and Samsung INR18650-25R

Me too, heat scares me a bit, in the battery and in other places. Another reason I won't allow myself to becoming accustomed to anything lower than .5ish ohms (duals so even cooler)...

I'm no expert but continuous discharge I think means, literally constant discharge. Your ten second draws are more like pulses. The pickle is, when a battery advertises that it can handle XX amps for pulse discharges, how long those pulses are isn't always clear. So for example if a certain...

This is an interesting 12.5A graph, especially given that I'm never really running at more than 8 amps http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/e-cigarette-suppliers-forum/570465-chewys-battery-test-thread-sony-vs-samsung-best-sx350-sale.html

Wow this is great stuff thanks so much for this...wonder how the AW (1600 MAH) and MNKE would fare in this mix Also really interesting that the 25R does better (initially) than the VTC5 at 35A, but not at 20A, which seems counter intuitive?

How to improve wicking in a KFL?

The only thing that worked for me (Russian 91%) was enlarging the juice channels (they're pretty much Aqua sized now). I got sick of battling those pinholes man. I use thick juice, take long draws and prefer higher watts so YMMV. But I don't get any flooding so it doesn't seem to hurt at all...

**Sub-Ohm Vaping** Discussion, Safety, Battery Info, & Warnings

Anyone have any info/insight on the samsung inr18650-25r? I have two 20Rs I've been running since October 2013 and they're still kicking really hard. Another thing I think about is longevity, but despite my thinking and observing I'm not sure I've come to any conclusion lol :) I have MNKEs...

Wow guess I have to look at your graphs more carefully! So you're actually getting 35 watts when you're set to 30 on a 1.0 ohm coil? I need to try this

Thank you for this information. I would love to see curves at higher amperages if you ever get bored on a rainy day! Surprised at how difficult it is to find such curves comparing batts like Sony VTC5, Samsung 25R, AW (1600 ma), LG/Efest 35A, etc

I have the the silver unit from 101 vape, ordered and received recently, I think its the most 'up to date version,' smaller 510, etc. I'm not certain its true bucking, but yeah I posted about this a few weeks ago in the other thread about cana issues that people seemed to dislike. What I'm...

My unit absolutely "bucks" according to inline meter and multimeter probes held against atomizer posts, just overall about a volt shy of what it says its doing. But consistently lowers voltage, lowest I measured on a .6 ohm dual was ~1.8 volts when dialed down to 7 watts (max of 3.5 volts with...

    CANA MOD - Not Ripping

as dr g alluded to there is a power issue most I got with a .5 or .6 ohm dual coil was 3.4V, even when it told me it was giving me 30 watts, 4.0V, whatever...usually it came in more around 3.3 I'm guessing you're getting something like 3V to the coil at most. Check it with an inline meter. If...
