Well, no. Ludo and Mik of Janty said that the puromizers are 100% backward compatible with previous eGo batteries. I view MFS as an e-liquid supplier that stocks some other convenience items used for vaping. An LR atty and 36mg should be a great TH, Darth. Gotta wonder if your atty is defective or if it was, perhaps, mismarked and is really a HV atomizer. (higher resistance for 6ish volt vaping). If you have access to a multimeter we could get to the bottom of this rather quickly, be it the atty...- Richie G

Hi Zach. My suggestion is simple and cheap enough to try out. I saw that you made your purchase at MFS. I'm not a tank user, I'm an atty user and a direct dripper. Most PV users will agree that attys are the best for tasting liquids -- I find attys and dripping are the best of all worlds but...- Richie G

What I miiss most about analogs :)
I miss how on a cold day the paper on the filter would get stuck to the sensitive skin on the lips without me realizing it, and then the subsequent ripping off of that skin when finishing a drag. How I long for that pain and those days...- Richie G

That looks like the J118. It was a short lived model that was carried by esmokeronline.com and litecigusa.net a looong time ago. It was supposed to replace the 510... it didn't. LOL Esmokeronline called it the V5.- Richie G
