    Planning to make a mod, quick question...

    All battery has lifepo4 3v cr123s, they're nice, but their peak voltage is around 3.6v per, so your 6v mod will actually be 7.2v on a full charge. I'd really recommend looking into a voltage regulator, preferably a boost, and just using a big protected battery like an 18650 or an 18500.

    The worst that can happen with a properly wired LED in parallel is that the LED stops working. It's a diode man, not rocket surgery.

    I just got some new LEDs in tonight. I was tempted to walk around with a battery to hook it up and ask people "hey, is this bright?" while blinding them. A little over a buck a pop may sound expensive, but when it makes you see spots, you know you're on the right track.
