    List of 5v mods

Not necessarily true, it usually won't blow the atomizer, it'll just produce a burnt taste and really harsh throat hit, it's not very pleasant with a standard atomizer. All HV attys aren't built the same either - the 'HV' atomizers that eastmall sells will give you the same issues at 8.4v as...

    High Voltage USB Passthrough

Actually, using one of the TI regulators you could just boost the voltage to whatever you wanted - inputs from 3-5.5v, outputs from 5-15v. You just need the proper resistor to output 6v/6.8v/7.2v/etc. No need for a battery at all, but I'd use a powered hub and not your computer for this...

    I need 510 battery connectors!

I've had to empty my PM box probably 8 or 9 times since I started, It would take me forever to actually find and PM everyone who's ever ordered. I'm heading home from the girlfriends in a few, I'll take inventory and post a new thread.

    Wanting to start vaping.

An ecig that meets your criteria is going to be one that uses normal rechargeable li-ion batteries, and not a standard ecig battery. There are lots of different options with different sizes, but all of them are going to be bigger than a cigarette. I would get something with a 510 atomizer as...

    I need 510 battery connectors!

I would be if people would buy the ones I've got left ^_^ I'm thinking about having a little post-holiday blowout sale to get rid of my stock soon to help, someone should toss me some ideas on the best way to do it.

    I need 510 battery connectors!

None of those are prewired afaik right now, check the stickied thread at the top of the modders forum for sealed prewired ones, I gotcha covered ^_^

Does polarity make a diff in atomizers?

Resistors don't have polarity, it's just a wire that gets hot. However, I'm not familiar with eluma ecigs, and it's entirely possible they designed their batteries to have reverse polarity and put either a diode or an electrolytic capacitor in their atomizers that would prevent them from being...

Did you use the 2 capacitors along with the TI reg?

    Resistor vs Regulator

1.5A won't cut it - the TI regulators work fine if you use the 2 100uF capacitors that the datasheet has listed as 'required'. I just built one tonight using a protected 14500 and it vapes identical to my 5v passthru, even though I couldn't find my charger and the battery was only sitting at 3.75v.

    Nic juice smells like Insecticide

I'll second that nicotine should not have any sort of insecticide smell - I've got probably 40 or 50 of bottles of blipquid lying around and none of them have had any appreciable odor at all. I wonder if MFS had to switch suppliers and is getting jerked around.

Looking for Nerf...or how might one...

How old are the protected batteries you're using? Over time, li-ions won't hold as much of a charge, so when you place it under load - especially the even heavier load from the regulator, the voltage will drop below the safe level. The new-ish 14500's I got from DX are working great on the 5v...

    USB Passthrough question

Jim, do you have a multimeter? Quite a few passthru's are regulated at ~3.5 and this would explain the lack of kick. I've got a few passthrus from bestecig and it's the same thing as you describe, just a bit anemic. Just make one, it takes a switch, a mosfet, a usb cord, and a case of some sort (:

My First Mod Thanks to Everyone

I used copper washers on all of my flashlights - find one with an ID slightly larger than that of a connector (8.7mm), and an OD slighter larger than that of your flashlight. Buy a bolt that will fit through the center and two nuts, then tighten them down and chuck it into a grill. Grind the...

    Broken PT???

Check some of the threads in the modders forum, I have a sticked thread in the battery mods section on making your own passthru. It's pretty simple really, you just need a usb connector, wire, a button, and the connector that you can take off of the passthru you ordered. Chances are something...

which of these 3 are close or better than Marlboro Medium?

My favorite tobacco flavors were 555 and mild 7, all of the other ones tasted a bit too bitter to me. I smoked Marlboro 27s when I smoked analogs.

    Dallas juice vendors/retail sales places?

They don't have a retail presence, but Bliplabs ('research' nicotine+pg liquid) stuff always comes postmarked from Arlington and arrives the next day for me - it's all I vape these days, mix up a bit of lorann from Asher's gourmet on Cooper and some glycerin from wal-mart and I've got a...

    Janty Stick: Some Pre-Purchase Questions

The 510 will have superior throat hit and vapor production, flavor is a personal taste. I personally don't like the 801 at all, I'm a 510 guy, if I don't get a killer throat hit it's not worth vaping for me. Over time, the throat hit of the janty stick will probably degrade for you, and you'll...

Where Can I Get A......? High voltage attys

Princess - The atomizers drew is selling are higher-resistance atomizers designed specifically to handle 6v/7.4v. They lower the overall amperage via higher resistance coils, outputting a wattage similar to 5v on a standard atomizer. They will *not* work on a 3.7/4.2/5v mod, you'll either get...

    Replacing O-ring/washer on an atty

Yes, the only thing its doing is insulating the positive and negative connections from eachother, if you can find another way to keep them separate, it will perform the exact same function.
