Question about the Black Chrome SB
I normally just rebuild the unit and leave the body alone. With a unit that is 2 years old I would charge $10 for the rebuild, refinsh would be $35 :) -
Omega problem
:) Glad you got him going again. The ticket system can be faster to get a responce it goes to my email and I get the alert. I spend a lot of my time in my shop without forum access (by choice) LOL I would not get anything done! -

Silver Bullet - Switch Problems
I always suggest mechanical agitation of the switch. AKA thump the switch on center with your finger several times. The way the switch is designed the contact plate floats on a guide pin. Sometimes that contact plate can shift and hang up inside of the switch cup. If there are any imperfections... -

Couple of BB questions
It was named the Black Beauty from the start. Just as the Silver Bullet was called the SB, I figured it would just end up being called the BB :) -
Kick with SB and DBSB
The 18490 IMR would fit in the SB with a kick without the sleeve. The kick is limited to 10 watts, no matter the number of loads in the circuit. I doubt that the kick would even allow it to fire. -

AltSmoke Silver Bullet/Omega/BB/Alpha Stock Updates!
We are finaly running them. We had to kick them down the road a couple of times to do more Silver Bullets, and BB and Omega. -
what should i do?
Sounds like the switch contact had shifted around a bit and the action of you moving it around a bit put it back in place, or the insulator had juice built up on the back side causing the soft short which would trip the battery circuit. As far as potting the switch back in, it would be best. And... -

The one being talked about in that thread is no longer being made. I think We made 50 of those bottoms, they went the way of the Dodo some time ago. -
SB Switch Amp Limit?
You are correct :). The spring colapses around 7 Amps and, the wire insulation would melt off before the switch would go. I can not remember the math, but DC and AC amps are two different ratings there is a more technical formula.... meh. It is a beast of a switch :) -
omega switch problems
