DIY Master Techniques - Flavor Add-on's (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

I could not really offer any experience having never done any fruits. EM as stated will add sweetness but not a lot. In Tobaccos caramels tend to also add a sort of fuller body and a definite sweetness, but the tobacco flavorings also tend to "cover" some of the "caramelly" aspect. In that...

DIY Master Techniques - Flavor Add-on's (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

A couple of comments - Glucose is a (relatively) complex 6 carbon cyclic polyalcohol. PGA or "Pure Grain Alcohol" is 95% Ethanol/5% Water - the highest alcohol concentration that can be obtained by distillation. For example you could take 80 proof vodka (40% ethanol) and distill it and raise...

    My first Desert ship recipie!

I think 1% of the 5% Acetyl Pyrazine is heavy, and 2% WAY heavy for me personally. I used to do 1% as standard, now I am pretty much topped out at 0.5% of the 5% AP (or just basically AP as many of us refer to it since it is as far as I know always 5%) and sometimes less than that.

    My first Desert ship recipie!

If you are just trying tobaccos, I think you are off to a good start. I think probably most people that do tobaccos well have a sort of "boilerplate" mix of a few essential ingredients and then rotate various tobacco and small amounts of other notes in and out of a pretty standard basic...

DIY Master Techniques - Flavor Add-on's (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

Salt will NOT truly vaporize, period. It is an ionic compound, and to get it hot enough to even start liquifying you are in a volcano. What comes out of an e-cig however is not exactly pure vapor either. It is a complex mixture of vapor and tiny entrained droplets which could in fact lead to a...

    Differences between various 'creams'?

My experiences: TFA Bavarian Cream: popular but to me little different from EM/EV mix. TFA Sweet Cream: Sweet, creamy, a little heavy on vanilla but a fav. Keep % low it will get sharp/peppery at high adds. FA Fresh Cream: good creamy taste, milder vanilla note. Another fav but like...

DIY Master Techniques - Flavor Add-on's (EM, VW, BW, MTS, ACV, ect)

Tabanone is essentially the primary flavor of the "Tab" / "DK Tab" etc etc etc family of flavors from the various vendors. Personally I don't care for this taste. To each their own. If you like this style I advise simply sticking with e.g TFA DK tobacco flavor. The straight Tabanone...

    Quick AP question

I do both depending on recipe- use 5% straight but also use a cut to 1% for other recipes. Just have to experiment.

    Doubting the "Science" behind steeping

I have no doubt whatsoever that after mixing, oxidation etc chemical reactions in many and probably certainly in complex mixtures do in fact occur. I have also observed that some mixes change little with no nicotine but the presence of nicotine is a significant possibly most significant source...

Do You Use Various Cream Flavors & What Are The Better Ones

TPA Bavarian Cream - Some cream but mostly vanilla and sweet. TPA Sweet Cream - some vanilla, more cream, definitely sweet. A favorite but add to much and it will get sharp and hot. FA Fresh Cream - slight vanilla mostly cream. Very good but also prone to get hot at higher additions...

    Nicotine Base Suggestions

Cannot find reference now but it was my understanding that for long terms storage PG was better for nic base?

I think the acronymns are starting to get confusing (maybe I'm just the only one confused?) We have "AP" which I interpret as Acetyl Pyrazine. We have "TA" which I interpret as Tobacco Absolute. Then we have brand specific TobaccoExpress "Tobacco Additive" which is definitely not TA - Tobacco...

DIY Juice Color vs Vendor Juice Color Over Time

OK so now I am curious about OP's experiences. 1) My juices invariably darken, presumably basic oxidation, over time, although in many cases the flavor improves, not always, so I don't absolutely agree with the seeming rule of thumb that "tobaccos must be steeped". (Incidentally, it is...

    Koolada - Are you kidding???!!!

Arghhh. Not content to do one stupid thing at a time I decided to drop the bomb on this stuff - the one thing I could think of that was possibly more nauseating - I vaped some old juice I made from TFA DK Tobacco, lol. The two mingled then decided to spawn, and now the hideous mutation is...

    Koolada - Are you kidding???!!!

The only thing that has even come close so far is TFA Maraschino Cherry. There was some cherry flavor in there but a dab of that stuff was like you just drank the entire Dead Sea - to wash down eating all the sand in the desert surrounding it. But that was a picnic on the shore compared to...

    Koolada - Are you kidding???!!!

I'm as OK as can be expected after anyone has just chained smoked a carton of Newports, lol. But actually, nicotine definitely excluded, I taste every flavor I use. It varies - sometimes there is and and at least as often there is not much correlation between how something tastes on my finger...

    Koolada - Are you kidding???!!!

So just for ....s and giggles I added this to my last ECX order because all the reviews on ECX says it added something but not menthol flavor. I was skeptical because it supposed to be menthol lactate ... Before wasting the effort on a DIY I dabbed just a bit. way less than a drop on my finger...

    Sweet Coffee

TFA Coffee flavor is way way strong. I usually cut it down quite a bit but I use it just as an enhancer for tobaccos. You can always add some EM to make it sweeter. Sweet Cream from TFA is also good but it can get peppery so you might want to add a little just for some cream but use mainly EM...

    Highway-555-Hangsen DIY

ECX used to carry Acetyl Pyrazine as part of their "Signature" series but it's not longer listed. ECX Signatures are mostly TFA - I would just get AP from TFA directly: Perfumer's Apprentice The Tobacco Express "Tobacco Additive" is something else. I just got a batch of and while it is the...
