    So she is using the RBA base with the prebuilt coil, or she is using just a purchaseable prebuilt coil? Also, before I get to far, where is it leaking at? Around the O-rings? out of the airflow holes? Depending on where it is leaking is important so I can further help you.

    Maybe try taking a little bity screw driver, like pin needle size and play with the cotton a little bit where the juice flow holes are. I hae did this before and it solved my problem. Dont' mess with it too much though or you might get flooding. Some flavors are easier to get burnt hits as well...
