The Simplicity 26650 and Simplicity 26500 are both shipped with a .030 Super-HD spring. If you want a softer spring. Go with the HD spring we sell (i'ts a .025 winding). We should have some more in on Thursday.
The threading on the Simplicity isn't made via tap and dies so it isn't a standard thread and is specific to our product. It's made via CNC g-code so it would read something like this to make a thread:

N1010 G00 Z.2
N1011 G00 X5.1
N1020 G99 S350 M03
N1030 G92 X5.0 Z-4.75 F.250...
It's to keep the costs in line. That Rhodium over Gold plated center pin and adjustable holder in sits in costs just about as much as the cap does. Since our design makes that center post assembly readily and easily removable, one can just swap in their existing one and save some money.
The June estimate is for the ELA. PrecisePlus sometime this summer is the goal :) We only had a couple of the 18650's left unfortunately. We do have some 18500 and 18350's left last I checked.
If you want to shorten the button throw, a #8 washer under the Switch post will do. I haven't been including any, but the hardware store will have them, Homedepot has them for .99 cents for a pack of them.
We have some 26650 blemished tubes (26650 tube only) going up shortly. These are more blemished then our blemished whole units we are selling, but they will still work, so if you ordered the new 26500 unit and want to also make it a 26650, now's your chance. No 26500 blem bodies yet...
Regarding spare 26500 tubes. We get a fair number of requests for spare tubes on all our mods. First, it's not some evil plot to sell you whole units, the plain and simple truth is we barely have enough manufacturing capacity to machine enough parts for complete mods, let alone extra spare...
