    You have to stick a really thin file or something in there and unscrew it (counter-clockwise). . . there's a small hole to catch the file or skewer or whatever you use. When you re-screw it in, it's harder because you have to keep teh switch straight and catch the threads. . . but it's not that...

    Houdini-- my old one had that clear plastic disc. This one didn't! But, I cut a circle out of the tape and made it into the disc. Maybe I should have used stiffer plastic. . . but it's working perfectly now. Thank you, both of you.

    But, that's the thing-- it definitely wasn't stuck with the gg. And, the switch on the sd is pressing just the same as it was before this happened . . . I don't see anything different inside it at all! :confused: I mean, can the inside be stuck while the outside isn't?

    Well, I think this just means that they printed a label. . . that's what I'm asking about. I get that notice from stamps.com, but it says "There is no record of this item." from the usps site. :confused:

    No, not really. I ship lots of stuff and buy lots of stuff. . . as soon as it's scanned in at the post office, it should immediately show up on the site. It always has for me before. The only time it doesn't is if it misses a scan. This happens by mistake a lot and, if the carrier picks it up...
