    What would make my ohms go higher and lower using new/old factory coils in my Iclear30 on a SVD?

    Don't use saline. Saline is salty water. salt will cause rust and can leave a deposit. I don't know much about the Iclear but the heads on them do not look like a good candidate for soak and dry burn but i could be wrong.

    OH one more possible cause. Your wick should lay on top of the juice channel. If you lay a kayfun on its side for a prolonged time you may flood the chamber also especially if you don't have enough wick in those two wick trays.

    IME two things cause leaks. One is not a leak and is caused by filling it from the top or over filling it from the bottom. The next is a bad seal at the top of the mod where the chimney seals at the top of the atty. There should be an O-ring there inside the hole on the top of the Kayfun.

    You change a coil when it opens/breaks, gets to gunked up to function well or has a bad taste. They don't have to be disposable. Depends on the atty.

    I'm betting you got a battery with a protection circuit. Try turning the wattage all the way down and see what happens. Also make sure all the contacts are clean.
