As for the difference cleaning your contacts makes....in my opinion, it's practically night or day! A $200 mechanical mod won't hit much...

    I'm just using a veryyy conservative amount of sharkhide on a microfiber cloth for the flat surfaces and male threads and q-tips with sharkhide in the female threads, just as I would with brass contacts.     Ideally, you should be cleaning EVERY contact, including the 2 sets of screws, the spring, and the small rod inside the button housing.

    Actually, it could be cleaned up by just adding the extra wick hole and moving the fill hole! No need to add the 2nd ground screw.

    Would you mind throwing up some pics of the post assembly? 10440 is not a lot of real-estate to work with as far as squeezing in a coil, so I'd like to see what they came up with in that respect. Regardless, looks like a sweet little rig!
