Yes, I make mini carvings Uma once I find my old hard-drive in the mess here I will get some photo's off it to show you.
And yes wood is the most amazing resource we have on this world I think, you can use it to get warm, make practical things out of it from houses to furniture and pretty things like art too and it smells nice!
If they could bottle the smell of fresh wood shavings and varnish, the world would smell so good. That's my favorite scent, especially when the touch of burnt is added to it. Heaven.
Looking forward to seeing your carvings!!!

Wow! This has got dspin written all over it. He's gonna freak when he sees this one. :p

Jim, You've turned PV's into functional works of art far beyond anything that is out there. This one reminds me of some type of rare gem stones. VERY nice!
:toast: I'll drink to that!! :toast:

I think what Jim is saying is that you use the magnet that is attached to the button to align the magnet that just sits in the tube. You do this by running the magnet that is attached to the button on the back of the Poldiac just where the magnet is just sitting and it should attract the correct polarity of the magnet in the tube. Then when you go to put the button back in the tube the magnet sitting in the tube should have the opposing polarity because of this trick.
I could picture what you were saying, thanks! It sounds quite easy to do too.

"Built for life" is the more power full statement of the 2, it is also seemingly longer than just 1 lifetime.
But it also says it is something you use in your day to day living.
To make things even more power full if you think about it a bit further, it is also replacing analogs that are "build for death" ;-)
+10 Well said, beautifully put.

I'll make a short video demonstrating what Jim means a little bit later today!
Thanks Rick! (just in case I pictured the words wrong).

::: off to find white gloves to replace my camo gloves for the new gem on it's way :::

edit: back to say, Congrats on your Poldiac & DiD, K3vin! May tomorrow arrive fast!

CaseAce! I'm glad to hear the 18350 is a nice size for you. I can't wait to try mine out. I'm so envious of everyone who gets to use theirs at this very moment. Congrats to all of you!

Well... I just now joined the ranks with a few others.

I was just on Jim's website pretending I was building my Poldiac (like I have 20 times already) and realized I had chain vapped my DiD dry. So not to miss a beat I popped the cap off and was about to fill it but then got distracted by my pretty fantasy Poldiac I was building and yup... I DiD it. I took a nice hit, Albeit a very short hit.

I knew this day would come as I've "almost" done it a few other times but caught myself just in time. What can I say.... Stupid hurts. :(

DiD I ever mention how unpleasant human lip flesh taste for a vape flavor? I highly do NOT recommend it.

off to go clean my ceramic

Would anyone else be interested in a U-wick/dual wick/dual coil DID?

I've been considering this but cant bring myself to drill into my DID for fear of screwing it up. I do have the old top cap/top plate from when I got the numbered cap, I might try it out.

I have one of mine drilled out with an extra 1/8" wick hole, but I'm talking about Jim doing an official run of these!

Well, half an hour is enough!

Now, get up and tell us what your beauty is going to look like :)

Oh cool! It was starting to make my head itch. :D

Actually I've been holding off for the Brass Top and Bottom but then Jim posted pics of the HyDiD. So.... I then I thought I might hold off for that, but now after seeing everyones nice looking set-ups my willpower is running a little low and my burpday is 3 weeks away. And then..... Cloud posted a pic of his earlier and that pretty much finished me off so to speak. :p

This is what I'll probably go with. It just looks so sweet with that two tone SS. I'm more of a utilitarian kinda guy so I'm thinking that as nice as the brass is going to look, this is really hard to beat and I don't have to worry about doing the Tony thing once in a while. :D I might even order the Gemini tank and extra DiD base to convert my Mini so yep.... this is what I think I'm going with.

For now at least. LOL

I think I need to start signing my paychecks directly over to Jim, thought I was happy with my Poldiac and then he posts pics of the beautiful polished brass clothes, and of course I need the new HyDID base, now I have to add a dual wick DID to the list... Yeah, I think I would be in for that.

Jim - How long before you get some freedom and can have more than 2 threads. With all the product you have out now and all the helpful video's Rick and others have made you need dedicated threads to each product with sticky's of all this information so we know right where to go to find it. Hope it's not to long for you. It's gotta be frustrating for you right now.

Jim, I did some reading on cleaniing silver plating and found this. I think I'm going to give it a try.

Use Electrolysis Cleaning for Gentle Silver Plate Care

Instead of removing the black silver sulfide tarnish, electrolysis reverses the chemical reaction, leaving the silver intact. To clean silver plated items through electrolysis, place the silver plated items in a glass bowl lined with aluminum foil and filled with enough water to completely submerge the silver. Use boiling water for non-laquered items and warm water for pieces with a laquered finish. Add 1 tablespoon of baking soda for each quart of water and let sit for 10 minutes while chemistry draws the sulfur off the silver and onto the aluminum. The chemical reaction takes longer in cooler water.

Use fresh water and foil for each batch of silver plated items to be cleaned. Electrolysis cleaning should not be used on hollow pieces or silver plated items joined with epoxy or other adhesives.
