The tripod is tube mod esque, but no, no tubes are in the works as of now. You will have to check out pics of my prototypes when they are finished. -Sam

I also got my buddy in California (a NE native) to design my logo, and I secured my domain registry: Freight Train Mods. I like the name, what do y'all think? -Sam

Pretty well bebop:). No the shop hasn't been completed; nay started yet. :( I have been having to go to work for my wife, and we went to see her parents this weekend. I also had the arbor break on my miter saw when trying to tighten it after changing to a better blade. i didnt even get to plug...

    I just had a Reogasm!

With the SS mesh setup I find that a three count and a little tilt in the direction of the coil/wick=flavorful vapor bliss. I have not yet been able to flood the coil with this setup which is SWEET!

    ERA - easy rebuildable atomzier

 glad it worked out for ya :). I used a drill at a slow speed and took my time chewing through the metal and it didnt eat the bit up at all... maybe that is the best way to do it for those attempting this. It's tough to drill through SS with a flimsy soft bit, just take your time. I used...

    ERA - easy rebuildable atomzier

I got my 3/64 drill bit at lowes. It comes in a dremel brand precision drill bit set. I found it in the dremel accessory section. It was almost 10 bucks but its nice to have a set of precision bits on hand. I don't like a 1/16 air hole, it's just too airy of a draw for me, the stock hole was...

    good 1-10k thumbwheel pot?

thanks a lot Rader :) I actually just asked Retird what he used on his DNA mod. https://www.sparkfun.com/products/11173 he said it was a smooth one so I ordered it and some different tactile switches to try https://www.sparkfun.com/products/8605

    good 1-10k thumbwheel pot?

I ordered some 10k pots from digi-key and I am not impressed, they are very stiff to turn and I don't like that. also the thumbwheel is too small. Does anyone know of a good 1 to 10k ohm thumbwheel pot? It can come from digi key, I know that not ALL their stuff is bad.:D Also, I need tactile...

Awesome! only 3 bucks? I'll get one just for that purpose lol. It makes the vivi look sweet, and I don't like the big ol' honkin drip tip on it.

    ERA - easy rebuildable atomzier

Sorry Long Haul, that is the best I could do with my phone. It's pretty simple, just about a 1/4 inch of rolled SS 400 mesh, 4 wraps of Kanthal 32awg. I tilt the wick/coil upward at about a 45 degree angle and let the end of the mesh touch the floor of the atty.

    Rebuildable Atomizers

I figure this topic deserves it's own thread... I have an ERA, a chinese DID, and a Smok Vivi tank. I have yet to setup the latter two, I have to build the mod to run them first :D. The ERA bottomfeeder has changed the way I vape. It takes a little getting used to but It's wicked awesome...

    ERA - easy rebuildable atomzier

Thanks Tripp :). I actually ended up flipping it up so that the coil end was closer to the atty floor, And the top of the mesh works as juice storage. when the coil dries the wick gravity and wicking action take over to get more down to the coil. It is a very nice vape, and never a dry hit if...

    ERA - easy rebuildable atomzier

I have tried silica, and it is just not for me. I tried about ten different set ups, torched the wick etc, and I just can't get a satisfying flavorful vape. I think I just prefer mesh. I found if I use a small piece of mesh at an angle it hits the floor of the atty and wicks up to the coil very...
