Proof of that:
Black Mini on the Right, Satin V1 (from November 2010) on the left
Although I like the way the black ended up as brushed stainless after I wet sanded it - it was kind of like getting a new one
I initially had no noticeable change the first few days when I ran regular attys 3 ohm at 5.2V just like on my mini .... might have been a little drop off when I switched to VW (between 8 and 9)...Didn't run into battery drain worries till I started messing with 26ga and pushing the limits...
Those guys are good and that was the 1st on my list... plus they are around the corner from Capitol Theater ... They have a no clone policy - only sell the real deal, and prices are competitive with the web.
And then there's one down in Harrison on the ProVape list- Honest Vapor - both shops...
I love a party- especially with dancing bananas :-)
I always trust your advice but need to double check this - especially because I know you guys are busy-
My understanding from Orbtronic as we were talking about back here...
This makes for a great discussion - think a bit deeper -
20W is what's measured across the atty or the OUTPUT of the P3- that's not the same amount of power that's being drawn from the battery which is also dependent on the amount of boost (not just the boost feature but the voltage boost...
Question for Provape that will keep me up tonight-(I should have asked before I ordered those NCRs )-
Way back when on the original Provari,, the motivation for us all going with AW's was partially related to momentary spikes.
Without asking you to endorse anything or share any internal...
I struggle with that... took it down to 2.... seems to be a good compromise...
have some fun & go with bigger wire in your next build .... - you're starting to get why anyone would consider not using AWs... the down side of boost is it hits the battery hard.
I just ordered a few NCR18650PFs...
That was me 3 weeks ago- happily cruising along with my trusty 18490's and my P2... pop that 26ga on and you'll be up to 15W wishing you could find a 3000mAh IMR 18490 ... and there's just no going back!
I agree on the polished- I have a P1 in chrome and .. well.. it's been upgraded to the 2.5...
Funny, since switching to the P3 my whole world has changed- I finally moved to RDAs with 26ga, and I've switched to taking long lung hits - 10 + seconds- I've had to adjust my juice mix and quadrupled my battery cycle and all the other changes that come along with heavier gauge. Perhaps it's...
yeah, but I think it would cause more confusion if the P3 auto limited as opposed to not firing and giving a message. I would agree that you could argue that one either way- maybe with all that processor, they can add "auto limit" as an on/off option in the future.
It was a message- I don't remember the exact text (might be in the manual somewhere) - said to lower my settings or check my atty... I knew right away what the problem was..
That comment was during beta.. but the manual says the same thing... vague
I just ran up to 19.8W at 5.4V on a 1.5 ohm build with 26ga. - boost set for 3 (3/4 of a sec) no error, no warning, it worked fine- although I can't tell you if it did anything ....
Well, when you're at 18.5W and boost is on, or what ever setting you have is already approaching 5.5A, what do you think should happen?
Add- or whatever setting you have for power and resistance put you close to 6V
