I was thinking the same thing... that would be sweet... thread a sleeve (140mm?) in the middle and with the right bottom cap, you could run any of the 3 battery sizes.

Hmmm time to break out the wallet for something other than flavoring ;-). 2 original provari's going back for an update and seriously looking at a black satin unit... the gold plated bling just isn't my style though :-)
Nice review Wayne. Looks like a great device- wish it went up to 6V - maybe with the evolv chip? .. .but its good to have a new entry on the high end to consider.

Correct. The TR-001 shuts off well before the battery reaches 4.25V. It shouldn't overcharge batteries - I seriously doubt he did. I've left 18490s (IMR) in for days (although not recommending you do) with no aparent damage to the battery and having the battery come off the charger below 4.22V.
It will be interesting to see what happens with the Kick mods- As I understand it (I may have this wrong), there are options avialble to allow for display and control of the kick that are being made available to select builders, and then there's those modder boards which allow more...
