A little hype from Buzzkill.. some of us begged him to consider a switching regulator over a year ago with the infinity.... glad he's taking a step (albeit a half step) in that direction ... About time....
Here's some things you should think about if you want to use that circuit-
the comments...
Easy does it ... we knew this would be a long haul- I'm not backing out- and didn't mean to get everyone riled up... don't think Harpo was either... just asking for an update as politely as possible.
I'm sure the wait will be worth it.... hopefully we'll get an update from Uwe on Tuesday so...
Busy month for me- just catching up-
fwiw, I tried other back ups.... still have my phidias for a back up too, but it hardly gets used any more- the best backup is a second provari- nice to have a chrome and satin or black and satin etc - they pay for themselves soon enough. It isn't so much...
...why in the world would you want to do that? Best case you get vv regulated voltage, worst case, you fry the vv circuit because you overload the input when the kick sets itself over 4.2V.
.. As one of the original beta testers today marked a year with my provari. Its going strong. I now have two, but one of them is in arms reach most of time. Thanks to the team over at provape for changing the industry and setting the bar for vv devices and customer service.

any of you guys know what that VV reo is going to be based on (circuit wise)?
Looks like fono is going with the Kick for the phidias but he's not letting on how it's going to be adjustable or if he's going to have a display at all. I was hoping he'd do a provari mod but he's decided not to go...
Not sure what you are using to supply 6V.... if it's a provari it's probably a current overload not a short- that'll happen if you put 6V on a 2 ohm load. I'm not sure of the exact number but I believe the current overload on a provari is 2.5A...Nothing wrong but other than adding a few more...
