Any review/comments on the new Efest 35A 2800MAh 18650 battery?

That's the first graph I've seen with the VTC5 that far ahead, wasn't aware that the lygte-info had updated the specs on the newer 25R. Here's my reference, this is a test done by an outside independent vaper comparing six of the most common batteries we all use, with the 25R coming out well in...

Any review/comments on the new Efest 35A 2800MAh 18650 battery?

It should be noted, this is the older revision 2012 Samsung 25R being compared(old green wrapper) and not the newer 2013+ Revision(Light blue wrapper). The 2013+ Revision performs better than the VTC5 in almost every aspect.

What size test batches do you make?

I don't make anything less than 30ml batches if I'm testing for a new flavor mix, but I will split the batch if I think it needs steep time. 30ml isn't that big of a batch to me, especially with the wattages I vape at a 5-10ml tester wouldn't be sufficient as I wouldn't have enough juice to...

First battery purchase - off-center top LG

Yes batteries are made with small inconsistencies from time to time, this is an entirely normal situation for an 18650 battery and I wouldn't personally worry at all. Some of my Samsung 25R aren't perfectly centered on the top either and it doesn't affect the performance at all.

RDA Is there any atty out now, or coming out that can be dubbed a "derringer killer"?

Kennedy killed off the Derringer for me(which is funny to me, since it's twice the size), I went from using three derringers on my daily use devices to using none. Derringer has its upsides but the extremely small chamber doesn't do it for the way I vape because I have to drip the derringer so...

    Samsung INR18650-30Q (3000mah/15A) vs LG INR18650-HG2 (3000mah/20A)

I had a hunch they were capable of 20A, What I'm more curious about is if they can burst 35A for say...5 seconds. 14 milliohms internal resistance is pretty impressive for a 3000mah cell, which leads me to believe it can keep up with a short higher drain burst. Time shall tell, I suppose.

    Mechanical mod burning finger

So long as the aluminum threaded contact points aren't anodized then you should be completely fine, aluminum is more conductive than stainless steel for the same sized piece of material, if anything...performance should improve so long as the threads aren't anodized as most anodizing is NOT...

SMPL Owners: How do you carry it?

Voltage drop is not the end-all-be-all data, there are a ton of other factors coming in to play including the variations of how each mod was tested. With the same atomizer on it my authentic copper SMPL tests better than my SXK Stingray X clone but not by enough to be a noticeable difference...

    Sony VTC4 vs LG HE2 vs LG HE4 vs EFest 35A 2100mah

I was hesitant to post the link but I figured the data was worth the risk(I originally just quoted it), usually if the website name isn't on the filter I'll take the risk. Initially I didn't link to the "other place" but I felt bad not giving credit where it's due to such a good post.

RDA Has the perfect RDA been achieved?

That's easy, Hobo V2.1, but you have to know exactly how to build on it to achieve the proper coil positioning with very restrictive airflow. Airflow can be completely closed off in every way if you so desire. Build the coil at the very edge of the outer barrel, with the vertical edge of the...

    Sony VTC4 vs LG HE2 vs LG HE4 vs EFest 35A 2100mah

Splitting hairs is what I do!, I'm always looking for the latest edge in battery technology, Until new cells are released and verified/tested I'm going to stick with the Samsung 25R, it routinely gives me a lower total voltage drop at the atomizer posts than ANY of the other high drain batters...

    Samsung INR18650-30Q (3000mah/15A) vs LG INR18650-HG2 (3000mah/20A)

If you never get near 10A I would advise to also keep your eye out for the LG INR18650-MJ1 - I've only seen them listed here: LG INR18650 MJ1 3500mAh (10A) but I was able to find a test here as well - Test Results for LG INR18650-MJ1 3,500mAh 18650 Li-ion Battery | Power Cartel 3500mah and 95%...

Question for those with the Cherry Bomber Mod

As much as I liked mine initially, it has been a problem since about day 3 for me. Perhaps it's something with the way I use mine but essentially after sitting for 8-10 hours I'm finding that the aluminum to brass connection the button makes at the small hole in the body of the mod becomes...

    Join the Army Subasidal tendencies

Oh that's a good one, I did something similar with a #1 phillips screwdriver, I was trying to pry a small clip off of a relay pack at work I was holding in my left hand when it slipped and the screwdriver lodged itself 4" deep right between my pointer and middle finger. Hurt like hell but...

Just how exactly do the OCC and Atlantis coils not flood

Some of it is the negative pressure inside the tank and the density of the wick material, there are many factors in play.

    Samsung INR18650-30Q (3000mah/15A) vs LG INR18650-HG2 (3000mah/20A)

...Not sure how to take that post, but none the less Samsung has a history of vastly under labeling their cells, I'm very interested to see the full fledged test graphs for either of these batteries. For instance, the specification sheet for the Samsung 30Q states it retains 95% of capacity at...

    Samsung INR18650-30Q (3000mah/15A) vs LG INR18650-HG2 (3000mah/20A)

2015 is bringing some more battery offerings to market, on the market not long at all now so gathering what little info I can. As far as I can tell the LG isn't actually available for purchase anywhere. Anyway... here's what I've gathered thus far. Samsung INR18650-30Q (3000mah/15A...

How do you reliably center your coils on a 3 post design?

They're quite close but not touching at all, not much room in there for supersubohm builds ;)

    Whats your goto wicking material?

Rayon from Sallys here as well, I've tried all the popular stuff and good ole bulk rayon from the beauty store kills them all IMO. Massive supply for $10 as well, can't be beat.

Old Coils, rust, bad flavor, easier to gunk?

You're going through 10ml a day, that should at least somewhat answer your own question IMO. 70ml in a week through ONE single coil/wick is asking your relatively small coil with a small surface area to do an awful lot. Plus you have to take in to account that unlike a dripper your wick and...
