    I used a switch rated 50mA @12v for my first NicoStick mod. It did not fry or anything, it just wore out. When I simply press the button, it doesn't work. I have to push the button in and then to one side or another. I have not had such issues with other switches.

    8-o:shock: I didn't rape my battery. I gave it a new life with bionic powers and a longer lifespan more wub:wub:. I totally saved it from dying of battery cancer and drowning in e-liquid.;)

    I have modded my 510. I had to sacrifice a 510 battery for the connector. I am working on a step by step How To thread for a battery box mod. The wiring is the same for pretty much any atomizer, the only difference is the atomizer connector.

    What do you have to lose? The worst that happens is you get a few cuts, maybe a burn or two, and you waste about $15. At best, you could have a really cool box to dip your wick into and maybe even catch the modders' bug and start making really creative fun stuff. You CAN do this. You really can.

    Kin, if you like the 901, you would love the 510. It is the closest I have gotten to the analog feel with the 901 flavor. On factory batteries they are about equal. In mods, the 510 wins hands down. I am thoroughly impressed.

    The current coming out of the USB port would have to be limited to 4.2 volts and 500mA (250mA would be better) as lithium batteries do NOT do well with a fast charge. The chargers seem to all be set to charge at that current or below. I have NO idea how to accomplish this.

    Why 801 and 901 for mods?

    Just based on which agrees more with me. I have seen rave reviews on things I despised and horrid reviews on my precious yeti. It is all in the throat of the vaper so to speak.
