    What is KVP and KSD?

I agree, get the V5 in stainless, all the other Vamo types lose their coating very quickly, in particular the gunmetal. Variable wattage is generally more desirable than variable voltage now, although most variable wattage devices do allow for voltage. I haven't really looked at the higher...

RDA TIRED of this leaky magma!

My problem was never exactly "leaking" out the airflow. It was the afc ring getting really juicy because of the condensation running through the threads of the top cap and into the afc ring. All the o-ring fix is, is putting an o-ring in the little space at the bottom of the threads where the...

    What is KVP and KSD?

KSD is Kangside I believe, the company that produces VAMO apv's. If you are worried about authenticity, shop at a real vendor imo. Cactusesmokes has a great deal on VAMO v3 and v5's, just 15$ right now. I'd buy there before ebay any day of the week, as they are also a registered forum...

    Next mech suggestions?

I settled on a copper Stingray. Thanks for the suggestions though! I figure I won't go wrong with something similar to what I already have (and already love). Also ordered a Stillare V2, which although is an older RDA, I think will look nice on top.

    Vape Hand.. *daydreaming*

I'm right handed (and smoked right handed), but just reading the title of this thread made me realize that I'd switched to using my left for vaping, no matter what device I'm using (Mech, Box mod, etc). Weird.

    Vaping for newbie?

I understand your reasoning, but it is a dangerous precedent. I've said my bit, and hope that whoever you are asking in regards to makes the right choice and takes up jogging instead :)

    Vaping for newbie?

Vaping is a healthier alternative to smoking using the proper equipment and with proper knowledge. Starting vaping, having never smoked before, is akin to slapping on a nicotine patch for fun. You are adding potentially harmful chemicals to your system for no reason. Vaping is a tool to help...

    Vaping for newbie?

I see no reason to start vaping if you aren't using it as addiction replacement/smoking cessation. I suggest you consider another hobby. That said, I hope someone comes along with a proper answer for you, and wish you luck.

Moving on from a "Starter Kit"?

Really glad to hear your new setup is working so well. I hope you stick to it and keep off of the cigarettes!

    Next mech suggestions?

Why are you even posting in the mech mod forum? And there are plenty of reasons to buy mechs, just perhaps not reasons for YOU to buy a mech. I'm uncertain as to your motives here?! This is a thread about mech mods, not regulated mods.

Thanks, but not interested in hybrid tops.

    Next mech suggestions?

February is rolling in and my vape budget is going to be back - this last month I took the plunge and got my first mech and RDA's, and though there were a few hiccups I'm now extremely pleased with the vape I'm getting. Now I'm looking into a second setup, my first being a Stingray X and Magma...

    First Mechanical Mod! :D

Very cool :) I got my first mech a couple of weeks ago (Stingray X and Magma) and it's awesome. It's funny how people say "just get a regulated mod". There's something special about mechs! Gratz on your purchase!

RDA TIRED of this leaky magma!

I used the O-ring fix and completely removed the airflow control, allowing the cap to screw on fully. That's the only way I was able to keep my magma from leaking, which stinks because I can't control the airflow anymore (unless I use tape and foil). It's an annoying RDA, I agree. I'll be...

Good deal on 18650 batteries + charger?

The SVD is a great Regulated (not Mechanical) mod! You should enjoy it. The general rule that was quoted to me when I started using 18650s was: Do not trust anything with "TRUST" in the name. Do not use any batteries with "FIRE" in the name. That said, plenty of people use the Trustfire...

Can anyone tell me what kind of mech mod this is? (pic)

Looks like the "Iron Man 2" mech mod. $22.97 Iron Man II Style Mechanical Mod - 18350/18500/18650 / stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping EDIT: Man, that mod is kinda ugly.

Moving on from a "Starter Kit"?

Dry burning isn't very useful, you're better off just putting a new coil in the tank instead if the current one is so far gone that it would need to be dry burned. The Nautilus can be cleaned with warm water, and the glass you can clean with some soapy water (like you would the dishes). Some...

Why in the world a mechanical mod???

I bought a mech very recently for the first time. Why? 1: It is aesthetically pleasing to me, compared to every regulated box mod that looks exactly the same. 2: It is durable. I can drop it in a pot of boiling water, dry it, and have no issues using it. I can also get replacement parts...

Moving on from a "Starter Kit"?

That appears to be the right coils, yep. 1.8 ohm is a good place to start, since you'll likely have to choose between 1.6 and 1.8. You should read up a little on the Nautilus Mini and how to properly prime the coils (short version: Put a drop of juice in the coil, fill up the tank, seal it...

Moving on from a "Starter Kit"?

Seem like fair enough prices to me. You may want to also get a pack of replacement coils for the Nautilus so that you can replace the heads when they get gunked up from use. (Nautilus BVC coils specifically)
