Ah well I am a happy camper. I got both my XPV and my Flask40 back this week! Not too bad of a wait. The vape is so good i had to post my satisfaction. Its good to know there is good service with original authentic goods... Not that a vendor of clones wouldn't but hell its almost not worth... -

I'm sure you remember the Youtube vid that was titled something like, "the Evolution of Vaping" by one of the members here whose avatar was of a guy in big tinted sunglasses i think. It ran down all the types of ecigs available and got all the way to .... i think just before variable voltage...- ukeman

crickets... btw, I got me Protovapor XPV back in remarkably fast time, and since i do 90% of my vaping right here at home on my desk, I have it on a long retractable type of USB cable jack most of the time, and often use it as a passthru... I hope thats not a problem; haven't used "pass thru"... -

That can be kind of a gauge for you... try adjusting temp and watts to see how low you can go (given you are getting a desirable vape) and not hit the TP sign. The longer it goes without hitting TP is desirable imo... Also in my experience it will go longer (during a draw) without a TP sign... -

^ Unless Evolv has some new design coming out, i.e. 50w, I'd say go for it NOW. The newer chips (buying new existing devices) should have MUCH less chance of being bad. You always need backups so with good CS (Evolv) you're covered if you have backup devices; like in my case i.e. a couple... -

Prometey3 has a 2mm AFC!!! I hardly like my 2 and Achilles anymore. The Eclipse has been renovated; looks like an Achilles with AFC. -

Hmm, OP makes me think. I started vape forum'ing about the same time, and was your "newb's newb" with an overpriced cigalike kit that took about 4 hours to charge, and I chain vaped it about 45 min. before it needed recharging!!! you can imagine the frustration. I have been using DNA40 with Ni200 for a while now and prefer the Temp Control because i can get the setting to where it won't burn or just over to get that ideal vape. I prefer a 2mm air flow. It seems that when I have less than 2mm of air flow on a single coil atomizer I need more temperature... -

ahh ... simple and to the point. I see you don't have to line the coil to the posts, which takes a bit more wire tail length (not bad for dna40; getting resistance over .1 ohms), and I with wick laying on/above the screw heads helps to keep the cotton wick from drooping. My coils also are... -

^I've seen that type, but it doesn't need it. the P3 is a shorter chamber for one thing I did a lot of "looking" and eyeballing, and the filler in top cap/chamber gets darn close to the height of the coil. I was surprised. I'd love to be able to properly measure, but hell I'm such a doof about... -

I will throw in a method for using cotton wick, that I've been using on my Prometey2 for at least a year now, and here it is on my P3 on a DNA40 with Ni200 wire. As you can see its just a slightly spaced coil, which thanks to the fact that it works great, I could give up trying to make perfect... -

Thanks for the tip on the Tilamehos Sedge. I am very pleased, and am pretty picky, for one who won't want to deal with atomizers with lots of parts, this one just fits the bill. I've used Penelope's before so this one was familiar. It's sort of like a larger Pene. I did order an Aqua2 (FT)... -

I like a warm vape, from sub ohming for a couple years... I usually start about 420 and avg 450. I do know that my coils start out not hitting TP much but after an hour or so, it starts hitting it regularly. -

no argument from me... I've decided that any other regulated device is possibly a good backup; my 2 Raptor120's and a Ranger OKR T10 hold up solid. But if it were anything other than a DNA40 which is the tip of the spear at this point, if its TP tech was surpassed, then yes I'd look into it... -

Right on Jeff... a lot of things have changed in the last few years. The landscape was a lot different when the first sub ohms rba's and mech tubes first came out. You couldn't get a whole lot of performance out of the first generation genesis rba's and a 2amp limit regulated device, or mech...- ukeman
