My thoughts and issues with the DNA40

My Flask has been spot on excellent from day one... love it.

My thoughts and issues with the DNA40

thanks ^ I'm one that absolutely doesn't (yet) glow or look for hot spots. I just wrapped my 4th coil and I actually feel like the Ni200 (30g) is a bit easier to trap on to the screw-head posts compared to thicker K wire because its thinner for one and because it's less springy it stays in...

My thoughts and issues with the DNA40

^right there^ this clears up (simplifies) so much of what is going around among so many DNA40 threads. Thanks Rusirius! guidelines regarding coil building tips might be helpful too

Is Provape in danger of becoming like Blackberry?

Basically the 20w limit is a statement from Provape, imo, that this device, Provari2 (and P3 but not sure about the limits) will facilitate some of the best vaping anywhere, anytime. Period. With its regulated electronics, smooth power to the coil every damn time, it will do it with consistency...

Somethings I found interesting ... From ProtoVapor site: *If you are having trouble with temperature regulation mode turning on and off unexpectedly, or with resistance readings fluctuating, the most common issue is bad coil connections. Check to make sure the post screws are tight enough and...

My thoughts and issues with the DNA40

I immediately subscribed to this thread just to keep up on Rusirius' findings. I have a Vapor Flask 40 device from day one, and while not being anywhere near electronic-fluent I do know how to vape rebuildables. as far as I know I have a perfectly functional DNA40. I am not being argumentive...

^ could be ^ I'm planning on trying to get my next coil to stay put around .20 ohms (+/_ .01 or .02) The vape is still very good, but the .05 drop is a bit irritating... lol

Even topping off and wetting wick in the process, temp hits 450 almost right away... and finding watts stay low too, around 5w while holding around 450 (20w and still a good vape). oh: the coil is reading .16 this morning after being at .21 last night (?)

I have tried every wick under the sun... and couldn't get RxW to work to my satisfaction but could keep trying. I studied up on the RxW thread (and the Rayon which was another story) and found that Japanese cotton imo is easy, good wicking, and best flavor.

:facepalm:Ok will someone tell me why, an hour later, I'm hitting 450 regularly now? even at 12w LOL... still great though.:vapor:

hard to follow this ^ but it did get me to try something; lowering my initial "sweet temp" from 480 at 30 to 35w (to get near to the sub ohms performance I'm used to, to 450 (factory default ?) and less watts... It's a 3mm micro, 30g Ni200 (I've been making micro coils for years... its a snap...

New to mechs and box mods, not vaping. Still need help

The DNA 40 is a different paradigm. If you have the DNA30 , the 40 (used with kanthal wire = turns off temp protection mode) is only going to give you 10 more watts = 40 of course, and if you want to sub ohms with thicker wire, atomizers that are made for it (dual coils, dual air i.e.) don't...

    New Vaper

Some love Hoops (Alpha) a melon/cream ... i look on the Elevated site; they have an active review function. I used to make a lot of melon flavors and I admit its good but I'm OD'ed on melon vapes. It is very good as far as that goes. Most of the juices I've gotten lately just come in high VG...

I'm not sure about "any residue" but I'm sure its better than not cleaning the Ni200 at all. For that matter, would any of the other cleaners mentioned NOT be good? I guess WTQ answered that; soap may leave a residue. I think the criteria is something that will clean oil / grease (and I do...

    New Vaper

The consensus for the most part (not 100%) has been that if flavor is your goal, the RTA type atomizers like Kayfun, Russian, Fogger, etc etc (single coil) are superior to dual coil RDA's ... in other words, more vapor doesn't mean more flavor. Magma is supposed to be one of the more flavor...

Simple Green is NOT so eco- or physiologically safe... I prefer to TP glow it but will start to find methods of cleaning it before starting to build a coil. Which is not that frequent since I only have one DNA40 device at the moment...

    Official DNA 40 introduction

Magma can leak if you tilt it in my experience, or if the juice gets in the air holes under the coils... afaik. Glowing your ni200 coil with TP off is being done, TP on too for a lesser glow, but safety is undecided... vs. straight out torching which afaik is a no no.

New to mechs and box mods, not vaping. Still need help

Haven't had a Provari in years but loved them when they first came out. Did go through a lot of mech tubes. And now have lots of regulated "box mods" and a Reo. By "not vaping..." do you mean you are vaping the provari but not the mech or box ? I'm not familiar with the specs on the Provari...

Awesome! That's nice to hear. I've been into this for 4 years, deeply, and with so much going on, how this industry has exploded so fast, am not aware of what I would recommend to a newbie, and reading your OP I know what to say... well at least to tell them what to look for; a B&M that will...

I thought it was the TP that made the "fresh coil" taste you know; like not cooking the juice and coil as much as K and non TP.
