i figure it would take me another lifetime to learn how to mod any one of the form factors to do it myself, and that ain't gonna happen, i rather throw the extra hundred at them and start building ni200 coils instead. -

Would dual coils be the logical way to get that low res. in your RBA's? I heard some of the tanks Nautilus Aero will come with Ni200 coils... Someone did post a coil setup photo or 2 of their beta tests in one of the threads. it had like 5 or 6 spaced wraps, looked thick-ish, in a small...- ukeman

It may be different and out of the ordinary but these things are going on sale, I mean devices with the dna40 in them in a couple days literally, and I am jonesing to see some coils with nr wire .16 to 1 ohms soon. Not that I'm sure which device will be best for me, but I've never been one to...- ukeman

ok I notice we are looking at .16 to 1 ohms coils for the dna 40 temp control. Is Kanthal and Ni200 totally different animals? How do I miss these things? So even with 30 or 32g nickel on i.e. a 3/32" coil, you have to use more wraps than you would with kanthal to get the same resistance? -

Yes, and someone ( i think dr g) said thick wire (26g) would be more difficult on a DNA 40... I'll have to go find that; theres a few thread now about dna40. I'm trying to figure how to wrap a 30 to 32g Ni200 coil at .16 (to .4 to .9) Ohms and get lots of surface area... which is part of the...- ukeman

Glad you pointed that out Ryedan, hmm so with the Temp control and Ni1200 we're going to be running sub ohms coils only (other than 1 ohms) ? Interesting. Is that why we're talking about 32g wire to get more wraps in for surface coverage? or wait... let me think about that.- ukeman

Unless I'm mistaken I think Busardo had a beta in a Flask which is a great form factor for double 18650's... a bit pricey but something that i'd be interested in and maybe we'll see more PV's like that once this chip comes out.- ukeman
