My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...

My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...

just to take the idea in the direction implied, you could do anywhere from 1 to 2 ohms coil using 30g wire would give you 1. more surface area 2. better cool down 3. use more voltage (not necessarily more watts) to get the vape you want. If using a mech mod, I'd stay down below 1.6 ohms, but...

Best gourmet ejuice vendors #2 - The journey continues!

ughh I wish I knew more vapers in my area I have so many that just sit around... that said, there a couple dynamics that happen in my case: I've found that most every one of my ADVs over the years (that I almost never let go of... must haves) took a while for me to get hooked on them. I'd try...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

I would suggest you take a look at the "Ni Wire Temp Control builds..."(Protection) or whatever its call thread. Its based on the DNA40 but we're talking Ni wire so its comparable. I haven't plunged into my SX M yet but I can tell you that Ni wire is very much different from Kanthal: its softer...

Rebuildable Tank Atomizers - An Anthology, Pictorial, Builds and Reviews.

Hitting TP on the read out is misinterpreted to mean a bad thing... its not. It simply means it modulating the heat to stay within the setting! You don't have to stop vaping when it does that. If you want more heat just adjust it higher.

Rebuildable Tank Atomizers - An Anthology, Pictorial, Builds and Reviews.

If you don't like or haven't had much experience with coil making there are some pre made coils coming out with Ni200 from some of the Kanger-Type atomizers (for TP devices). I think the flavor is superior in an RTA like Phenom vs. a Nautilus i.e. but having Ni and TP is going to improve things...

Rebuildable Tank Atomizers - An Anthology, Pictorial, Builds and Reviews.

 No I have just straight Ni200... I don't know how to twist, temper, etc etc... I read on another thread a good description of Ni200 I agree with where poster said you get a cooler vape with Nickel, and good flavor, but you can't dry burn, or clean it up, its quite soft too (30...

Phenom Zest was added to my rotation and am vaping at 4v on my Ranger OKR-T10. .90 ohms 30g Kanthal coil. The 3 air holes seem to give about 2mm air which is just enough imo. (happy camper :) ) Flavor is up there with the best as per the consensus here... I just figured how to adjust the...

My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...

Yeah so just set up your coil and set watts to taste... a 1 to 2 ohm coil with i.e. 30g wire will give you enough wraps to see the difference and your VW should not have to get anywhere near 70w.

My thoughts about sub-ohm and latest VV/VW devices...

? just a minor glitch to my mind there, because without running any figures, my experience shows that a more satisfactory vape with the longer coil won't require as much as 100w. I look at it more from a voltage increase... and less watts. You're vaping 70w and probably about 4v... Increase the...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

I don't exactly know either, but I would have the same reaction coming from Ni wire... something like that Ni 30g would come in under or near .20 ohms. 8 wrap Ti 24g comes in approx, .24 with a 2.5mm ID coil... But I imagine there are some variables to consider... length of legs etc.

I have an SX mini M sitting in its box unopened... 1. the joules thing intimidates me 2. it has been reported it will burn wick if using .5mm Ti wire which is what I am using on my 3 NDA40 devices with no issues.... (it was the only Ti avail. on Amazon at the time) I believe roxy is trying...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

Looking at how the experts are using twisted Ti wire, I can not consider "twisting" thinner Ti at this point; just not me... I imagine you would use it (28g Ti) as a conventional spaced coil Roxy? I just want to see how it will work on the SX without getting that huge heat flux issue that...

    Titanium wire, vaping and safety

I was reading another thread here about Ti (24g) having issues with the SX TC and figure its the thick wire creating the problem, so i would be interested to know if a thinner Ti wire would fare better. All I saw on Amazon was the 24g Ti wire that I am using with great results on my 3 dna40...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

I am preferring Ti wire (24g is all I have) because it holds up much better than Ni. That said, I have never seen or tried 24g Ni200 wire - is there even such a thing? With 30g Ni200, which I prefer over 28g Ni, I have to change out coils every couple of days of heavy use. (somehow I have...

    SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)

I'm liking Titanium so far on my DNA40's... only found .5mm so far (24g), but works pretty much like thicker Kanthal. Sems to hold up better and its pretty consistent. Any comments on using it on the SX it TC mode?

Have you tried the Cyclone by Vicious Ant? It seems the same dimensions (not exact but ball park) :) Oh btw I have a Gryphon dripper from Art of Exhale; oldie but goodie... I'll include a shot later, sittin all unused... not alone for sure ::laugh: I think its a 14-16mm somewheres in there...

If I didn't have so many DNA30, 40's, and the (SX Mini M class coming), I might have a WAE You can fire those LR coils with any amount of voltage you want. Pris, have you tried upping your ohms with 30g wire coils? IMO nothing beats this type of chip because you can ramp up the voltage...

Who could pass on Mrs Soaky? just kiddin' since i know nothing about good Mrs S. but... if you haven't tried the P3 RTA I wouldn't sway you from that just because you will always wonder... that said, the P3 dripper holds quite a bit of juice, and has the same 2.2mm max air (afc...

^ this should be archived... in the "gallery of coils" congrats on the SX Mini M-class. Does it not have trouble with contact coils?
