    Deleting a unused blog catagory

Hi retired, What I see is that the "blog tools: browse entries by month" has been moved from the top right side to the bottom center, as has the "categories"... but I'm afraid I don't see a way to delete the offending category - "Ohm's law - applications". I can highlight it, I can left...

We shall see. No rush. Thanks for the relocation, sonic. :thumb:

    Deleting a unused blog catagory

I was creating "categories" for my blog pages... because I discovered I could. This was my first mistake. Wrote one... clicked OK, then wrote another I liked better, without realizing they are, seemingly, chiseled in stone. Anyone have a path to deleting the first, unwanted...

Cherry Bomber Clone - Not the bomb

Doesn't sound all that strange, Froth... considering other, even less likely options. ;)

Cherry Bomber Clone - Not the bomb

Knowing what I know about your predicament, only a few things come to mind. Assuming batteries are as near identical as you can have them, would be a substantial variation in voltage drop, one mech to the next... where a good portion of current is wasted to Joule (resistive) heating. With that...

Cherry Bomber Clone - Not the bomb

Running with the limited information you've provided, avpx... Your resistance values all draw the same wattage, from all your mech mods. The fact that the Cherry Bomb has two 18650s rather than one, as with your other mechs, should make no difference what-so-ever... as your resistances all draw...

    Watts setting?

It's common to get a +/- of 0.1Ω with ready made coil heads. The old tables are pretty useless these days... 7 watts is "cold" for that net resistance. 11~13 watts will place you in a much warmer heat flux range of around 175~225 mW/mm².

button top or flat top battery for kbox?

In reading a few ads where they offer a pair of batteries as options... they're all flat tops.

    QUESTION ABOUT COILS

Different wire has different resistance values per mm... but, you can control coil temperature (heat flux) by either reducing wattage applied - or by using a thicker wire, or lower resistance... for the same wattage. Click the first and second siglines below to learn how wire type and gauge...

No worries... if you look up Baditude's blogs here in ECF, he's probably got more time invested in vape specific battery research than anyone else. There's also good info on PBusardo's YouTube site, and you'll find a few other good links if you click on the 3rd sigline hyperlink below.

i bought a new battery today...

Sorry... it just bugs me no end when I hear the BS that vape shop employees blather on as gospel. If you read the various MFG specs (or Battery University), the recommended minimum discharge value for an IMR battery is 2.5V. "50%" of a full charge... that'd be 0.4V below the minimum value.

i want a mech maybe hades?

Ohm's Law is your friend. For wattage ("Power") the formula is V² ÷ Ω = P. For amperage ("Current"), the formula is V ÷ Ω = C. With a 32A MCCD, you can run net resistance down to 0.13Ω... but you need a very good quality, low to no voltage drop mod to go there safely.

    Kanger OCC Rebuilding

So many directions at once... but no mention of wattage applied to the various resistances. Wattage is a critical value that, like wire gauge, net resistance and coil count in parallel... without it, you can't calculate heat flux and heat capacity.
